Principal's Message

Hello Lincoln Families,

Fall brings a lot of excitement around our school. We have a lot of fun activities planned this upcoming month that we hope you can join us form. On Tuesday we had a wonderful Bingo night. At that event, we shared the benefits of belonging to a Title One Community. If you were unable to attend, you can access this presentation.

Please consider completing the free and reduced lunch form. Each year the for needs to be submitted for requalification. The application process is quick and confidential. You can complete the form online at https://linqconnect.com/public/meal-application/new or by completing a paper copy and returning it to Lincoln. If you need help completing it, please don’t hesitate to contact our school office at 970-613-6200.

Completing this form does more than determine meal eligibility; it unlocks valuable resources and funding that directly benefit our students, families, and school. Here are some of the ways this form helps:

  • Increased School Funding: Schools receive additional funding based on the number of families who qualify for free or reduced-price meals. This funding supports educational programs, classroom supplies, and extra student support.

  • Fee Reductions and Waivers: Students who qualify may receive reduced fees or waivers for activities, field trips, and other school-related expenses, making more opportunities accessible to everyone.

  • Access to Additional Resources: Many grants, both state and federal, rely on school-level data from these forms. When families complete this form, it allows our school to apply for resources, tutoring, and enrichment programs that support student learning and growth.

  • Community Services: The data from the form helps determine eligibility for community programs, allowing families to access resources and services beyond the school day.

If you need assistance completing this form, both Kaila Kocer and Tanya Santacruz are available to help!

Warmly,

Ms. Stott

Winter Boot Needs Winter Boot Needs

In the past years, a community partnership provided coats and boots for our students. Unfortunately, due to funding cuts, they are unable to do so this year.

Thankfully, we are excited to partner with two new community organizations who will be conducting a boot drive for our Lincoln Leopards!

If your little leopard is in need of snow boots this winter, please fill out this Google Form. We will do our very best to fulfill requests. Please be sure to select the correct size (or size up), as we will not be able to make exchanges.

All information will be kept confidential and is only for students currently enrolled at Lincoln. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me. πŸ’™ Please Respond by Monday September 29th. Winter Boot Form

The Hub at Lincoln The Hub at Lincoln

The Hub is officially open! Last year, you told us through surveys what you’d like to see in a family resource centerβ€”and this space is your ideas come to life.

Here’s what you’ll find inside:

  • A calm, private spot for families, staff, and community partners to meet
  • A cozy coffee & tea bar β˜•
  • A clothing closet with gently used items for kids and adultsβ€”set up so families can choose for themselves πŸ‘•
  • A food pantry and hygiene products for short-term help, while we connect families to longer-term resources πŸ₯«
  • Community resource connections for things like birth certificates, job searching, housing, medical or dental care, and more.

Since our classrooms don’t have doors, we’ve also added a divider for privacy so families can feel comfortable using the space.

This space exists because of your input and community partnership donations. It’s important to us that you know your voice makes a difference here at Lincoln. Every survey and piece of feedback helps us build stronger partnerships between Family, School and Communityβ€”because when families thrive, our kids thrive. πŸ’™

To schedule a time to visit The Hub, please contact Ms. Tanya at 970-613-6235 or call our front office at 970-613-6200.

Introduction Introduction

Hello Lincoln Families!

My name is Sarah Nguyen (you say it "win," like "win a prize") and I am our school's Social Emotional Learning Specialist! I work with students one on one, in small groups, and as a whole class. I focus on helping them develop in five areas: self-awareness, self-management, responsible decision-making, relationship skills, and social awareness. We accomplish this by doing things like having conversations, playing games, participating in activities, engaging in role-plays, and making art.

I am at Lincoln on Mondays and Thursdays, as well as on the first and third Wednesdays of the month. The easiest way to reach me is by email: sarah.nguyen@tsd.org. I look forward to working with all the Lincoln Leopards this year!
