COMMUNICATION

Every Friday you will receive a weekly newsletter. This is the school's way of communicating important events and sharing all of the fun from the week. It will include important dates and information to remember as well as keep you updated on what your students have been up to. Please check it weekly for pictures and milestones your children are completing!

Hi little Brickies! I’m Officer Tommy and this is my first year as the Early Learning Center School Resource Officer (SRO)! I’m so excited to meet you and your family!

Before becoming the ELC school resource officer, I worked as a Special Agent for CSX Railroad Police for 10 years in the Chicago division!

I have a beautiful wife named Cristy and three amazing children, Noah, Lucas and Leah! I also have an awesome dog named Boomer!

Some of my favorite things to do when I am not at school is hangout with my family, coach my kids in baseball and go to church!

I’m looking forward to having a great school year as we learn and grow together!

Hi! My name is Lisa Troyer and I am the school nurse here at the ELC! I have been a nurse since 2014 with most of my experience being in critical care. I have been at the ELC for 5 years now!

I am a mom of 3 girls who are all Hobart Brickies, too! I love swimming in the pool with my family, taking vacations, reading on my kindle, decorating for Halloween, and having family movie nights.

My goals are to be a positive healthcare resource for your family, to encourage and empower students to have bodily autonomy, and to help establish good health hygiene and practices.

Hello! I'm Mrs. Schmidt, the School Counselor here at the ELC. This is my 7th year working for Hobart and my 10th year as a School Counselor. My passion is early childhood education and I love being a part of the ELC family.

When I'm not at the ELC with YOUR kids, I'm at home with MY three girls. That's right, I'm a girl mom through and through! I love cheering them on in their sports and activities. As a family, we love family game nights, hiking at the Dunes, relaxing while watching movies together, and going on adventures. We also have two dogs, a cat, and a snake at home. It's a full house for the Schmidt party of 5!

I am SO excited to spend the school year with you all here at the ELC. šŸ’œšŸ’›
