Brook Bulletin
Edition #2

Fall Semester - EDITION #2
Dear Clear Brook Nation:
At Clear Brook, we remain committed to empowering every Wolverine to contribute to Building a Winning Culture. This year, we are deepening our exploration of Winning Mindsets and Behaviors—those daily actions and attitudes that help us rise to every challenge, celebrate progress, and achieve excellence together.
We are proud to share our Five Excellence Indicators that guide our culture:
-
Growth & Resilience
-
Belonging & Voice
-
Future-Focused
-
Continuous Improvement
-
Collaboration & Empathy
This week, we are spotlighting Indicator #1 – Growth & Resilience. Resilience is about reflection, ownership and the willingness to learn through challenges. Growth happens when we view obstacles as opportunities. Already this school year, our Wolverines have shown tremendous courage, perseverance and adaptability. We are proud of the positive choices and behaviors our students are demonstrating—living proof that setbacks are springboards to future success.
We are honored to have been renamed a National School of Character in May. This recognition affirms our shared commitment to fostering ethical, social, and emotional growth alongside academic excellence. It is a direct reflection of the character and resilience our students show every day. We plan to celebrate this distinguishing recognition throughout this entire school year.
Special Notes:
-
Open House – Monday, August 25th
We warmly invite all families to join us next week for our Open House. This will be a valuable opportunity to connect with teachers, explore our programs and learn how we are building a Winning Culture together. (See flyer below for more details.) -
Weekly Wolverine Calendar
Please take time each week to review our Weekly Wolverine Calendar, which outlines two weeks of campus activities and events. Your presence makes a tremendous difference in encouraging our students and strengthening our programs. -
PTA Membership Drive
We are just 100 memberships away from earning the Head Start Award by August 30th! Without your support, PTA’s impact is limited. Let’s rally together to help PTA serve our campus with excellence—please join today! (See flyer below for more details.)
Parents & Future-Focused Connections
We are excited to begin early this year with our Parents & Future-Focused Connections. Starting in September, parents will be invited to share their career pathways during Quest Connect time. This is a powerful way to expose our students to possibilities, successes and challenges while equipping them to be Future-Focused and ready for life beyond Clear Brook High School.
Together, let’s continue to Win the Day and Lead the Way!
With Wolverine Pride & Joy,
Monica W. Speaks
Proud Principal

General Campus Reminders
- Be sure to complete online Back to School Form & Upload Proof of Residency if you haven't already: Failure to do so could lead to unenrollment. Contact the campus if you need assistance.
- Building Entry: The building opens at 6:45 am. Please do not drop students off before this time, as they will not be able to enter. Also, students are reminded not to open any of our exterior doors to anyone. There are reminder signs posted on all exterior doors.
- Pedestrian Safety: Students and staff, please be extra cautious when walking across the bus drop-off lanes and parking lots. We want everyone to stay safe.
- Clearing Band Practice Lot: During the Fall Semester, students parking in the Band Practice Lot must vacate the lot by 3 pm daily. Failure to do so will result in a parking violation and fines up to $35 along with potential towing and loss of parking privileges.
Dress for Success: Students are doing a great job overall with dress code!
Please remember: no midriffs or off-the-shoulder garments, and
shorts/skirts/dresses should be midthigh or longer.
(Scan QR code above to review complete details regarding CCISD Dress Code expectations).
Student IDs: We’re finalizing printing of student IDs for our new enrollees and some returning students. They were issued Temporary IDs until their official ones can be printed.
Every student is expected to have their current school year ID visible - every day, all day — on a lanyard around the neck, clipped near the neckline or at the waistline.
IDs should not be clipped to backpacks or bags.
Prohibited Items: Cell phones, Bluetooth accessories (headphones, earbuds, smart eyeglasses, speakers), smartwatches, personal laptops/iPads/electronic notebooks, and e-book readers (Kindle, Nook, etc.) must remain off and out of sight during the school day.
(See detailed information above).

Dual Credit Courses Information
Dual Credit classes begin tomorrow, Monday, August 18th!
Please make sure you log into your San Jac portal and check your classes so you know where to go. If you haven’t already paid your tuition, you can also do that on your portal. Usually, they will drop students who haven’t paid on the first day of class, so please do take care of that!
Bus information is below for morning dual credit. Afternoon dual credit does not have transportation. Please make sure you are at the pickup location on time. The bus will not wait for students, and we don’t want anyone to get left behind!
