Counselor's Corner Counselor's Corner

We are continuing our Attendance Awareness Month activities to promote building healthy attendance habits! Each day, we are continuing to color our “Get Up, Show Up, Build Up” block house to represent students building a strong foundation of attendance. Our first special recognition day is coming up soon where we will celebrate the students who are in attendance at school that day; we hope we can celebrate as many students as possible!

A few attendance reminders:

-Students who arrive after 8:40am are considered tardy and must be signed in at the front office.

-If your child is absent due to illness, please indicate that as the reason on the online absence note so the attendance can be coded correctly. If your child has a doctor’s note, please send that as well.

-If your child misses school, please send a note within 48 hours so the attendance can be coded correctly.

🎶Music Notes🎶

This week we worked on building a music community through our love of music! We turned our classrooms into a restaurant to experience a “Music Tasting”. We learned about five different genres of music and used tasting menus to leave a review based on our interests. We connected music and math by graphing our results, and we connected music and literacy by exploring new vocabulary words such as “genre” and “improvise”. Keep listening, keep exploring, and keep discovering the music that you love!

Nurse's Notes Nurse's Notes

Parents, please check your child's backpack for any medication refill reminders that may have been sent home. If your child receives medication at school, please ensure refills are provided before the current supply runs out to avoid any interruption in service. As a reminder, all medications must be delivered directly to the school nurse by a parent or guardian. Please do not send medication to school in your child's backpack. Thank you for your cooperation in helping us keep students safe.
