Dear Families,

Wow, this week flew by! Our students are wrapping up their learning and eagerly looking forward to next week’s House Games. A huge shoutout to our Student Council for organizing all of the events and helping make the end of the year so much fun for our students.

As we approach the final days of the school year, I also want to personally thank our Sells families for all of your support, encouragement, and partnership throughout the year. It has truly been a wonderful first year serving as principal at Sells, and I am incredibly grateful to be part of such a caring and supportive community. Your kindness, communication, and involvement have made this year very special.

On the last day of school, students will have the opportunity to receive a grab-and-go lunch. We will be taking lunch orders during ROCK period on Tuesday and Wednesday. Please remind your student to place an order if they would like a lunch that day.

For our 8th grade families: The Beach Bash is a student-only event that will take place during the school day on Thursday. The 8th Grade Ceremony will be held on Friday, and families are invited to attend. Doors will open at 9:30 a.m., and the ceremony will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m. Families may enter through Doors 1, 2, or 12. Please refer to the map below for parking information. Please note that some local businesses may tow unauthorized vehicles. Recommended parking locations include Bridge Park, the Dublin Library, and the Kroger parking lot.

Have a wonderful weekend!

8th Grade Chromebook Collection 8th Grade Chromebook Collection

On Wednesday, May 27 all eighth-grade students will turn in their Chromebooks and chargers. They will receive a new Chromebook and charger during 9th Grade Orientation in the fall. By doing this, we can ensure that the students are equipped with their Chromebooks on the first day of the 2026-2027 school year.

IMPORTANT: If you are celebrating Eid or will not be here that day, please bring your Chromebook and case to the library on the last day before you leave.

Location: 1919 Auditorium

What to bring: Eighth graders are required to bring their Chromebook with all personal stickers removed. (The only stickers remaining on the Chromebooks should be the DCS barcode/serial number and the nametag). If the student’s Chromebook is in repair, the student should bring the loaner that was issued to them. Both case and Chromebook need to be returned to the school on this date. Please note students who do not return a case with their Chromebook may be subject to additional charges.

If you have any questions, please have your student come to the library.

My American Story Digital Gallery is Live on our Website

After a massive district-wide effort, each building nominated its most impactful student artifacts to represent our collective history. We now invite all community members to visit the America 250 page on our website to browse these curated works. To participate, simply note the school name and entry number of your favorite projects in each category (PK-5, 6-8, and 9-12) and cast your vote using the Community Choice Ballot between May 15–26. Winners will be announced on May 29. Thank you for helping us celebrate our students' unique contributions to the American fabric!

DCS Summer Reading

To keep our DCS students sharp and inspired, our teachers curated exciting summer reading resources designed to strengthen literacy skills. Middle and high schoolers can explore grade-level lists centered around a unifying essential question, complete with engaging activities to jumpstart discussions when they return this fall. Meanwhile, elementary families can browse our dedicated website of award-winning titles perfect for younger readers. We encourage every student to visit their local public library and grab a book that sparks their curiosity!
