• 8th Grade Promotion, 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm, SMS Stadium (Student drop-off at 3:00 pm)

• 8th Grade Dance, 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm, SMS Commons

• Teacher Work Day - NO CLASSES - Enjoy your summer!

Our PSO is looking for volunteers to help with this year's 8th Grade Promotion Dance Party on June 13! Setup time will be 2-4pm that day. Cleanup help is also needed 7:30-8:00pm following the dance.

This week, under the direction of Choir Teacher Kathy Shuckerow and Maestros Casey Crane and David Sanders, the Sherwood Middle School music programs held their last concerts of the 2022 - 2023 school year. For many, it marked the culmination of three years of late night practices, hard work, and dedication. Some of these students began learning how to play instruments and sing during the pandemic over a screen, and now they are about to join one of the most talented high school music programs in the state. Our school community is beaming with pride and we are excited to watch these students next year at football games and concerts as they are going to continue their musical journeys in high school. Great job everyone and congratulations on the amazing performances!

Is your student looking for a way to connect with others and to be in service to our community? We are excited to partner with students at Sherwood High School to form a Builders Club for next year. This student-led club was originally developed by and modeled after Kiwanis International, a global network of men and women serving the children of the world. Participants will have a variety of extracurricular opportunities throughout the school year to develop leadership through service to the school and the community. Be on the lookout for more information in future newsletters about how participants can help, "build a better future."
