Join us for an evening of fun, games, and learning at our Math Madness Family Night on Thursday, March 26th from 6:00–7:30 PM! Families are invited to come together and enjoy the excitement of March Madness while exploring engaging math and STEM activities.

We’ll have the basketball tournament games streaming, along with basketball activities in the gym for students and families to play. You can also take part in a bean bag tournament, visit the Book Fair, and try out a variety of hands-on math games and STEM challenges designed for all ages.

Snacks will be available for purchase, so bring the whole family and get ready for a night of learning, laughter, and a little friendly competition!

We hope to see you there!

Congratulations to our Welch Robotics teams for their hard work and outstanding performance at the tournament this past weekend! Our students demonstrated creativity, teamwork, and perseverance while representing Welch with pride.

A special shout-out goes to Welch Team 6, who earned the Innovation Award for their impressive design and problem-solving. We are incredibly proud of all of our robotics students and grateful for the dedication they put into preparing for the competition.

Please remember to send your child to school with a snack every day. A healthy snack helps students stay focused, energized, and ready to learn throughout the day.

Our office has kept a small supply of extra snacks for students who occasionally forget, but our supply is out We kindly ask families to help by packing a snack each morning so that all students have what they need to get through the day successfully.

It is time for the Welch Yearbook Cover Contest! Students in grades 1 -5 are eligible to participate; entries are due by Friday, March 27th. Please see the link below for more information!

Linked below is a schedule for the March 17th E Learning Day. Our kindergarten and first grade students will receive a learning packet to complete on this day, while students in grades 2- 5 will engage in both synchronous and asynchronous instruction via Google Meet. Please complete this form if your student has permission to purchase a second lunch entree and/or second meal. Each student will need this form completed in order to purchase a second entree or meal. The cost is as follows: Breakfast - Second Meal $3.75; Lunch - Second Entree - $4.40 and Second Meal - $5.75; regardless of Free/Reduced Lunch status, EVERYONE who takes a second entree and/or meal will be charged these amounts.

Spring Egg Hunt - Sunday, March 22nd at 2:00 PM
Join us on the Welch field for our first-ever Spring Egg Hunt!! We’re excited to start what we hope becomes a fun new tradition for our school community. The event will take place rain or shine, so plan accordingly! Please note: this is not a drop-off event. Students must be accompanied by an adult.

Our biggest event of the spring is coming up! The Color Run will include:

• Face painting and henna art from 9:30 - 10:30 AM
• Community vendors and activities

Welch will be collecting plastic bread tags to donate to SCARCE for recycling in partnership with Danielle Cares for Chairs. Plastic bread tags are those square clips commonly used to seal bags around a loaf of bread, bagels, or even produce. If you are trying to reduce your plastic use, they can be hard to avoid. Further, plastic bread tags are not recyclable in your curbside recycling bin. Therefore, millions end up in landfills each year, just adding to our disposable plastic problem. it takes about 260,000 bread tags to purchase a basic wheelchair – so every bread tag counts! We will have collection bags at Welch, so please feel free to bring yours in or send them with your child!
