More success for our UH Tennis Bucs! University High’s Graham Mefford, Brady Weems, and Gavin Olsen had the honor of hosting TSSAA Region 1A Individuals on May 12th at ETSU. Graham Mefford played in great form by defeating his two opponents and only dropping a game, naming him Regional Single’s Champion. Brady Weems and Gavin Olsen sailed through their first round to hit a big hurdle in the finals. Being down a set, University High’s top doubles team had to claw their way back into their match by supporting each other and never giving up. As a result, they pulled off the biggest comeback of the season by winning in the 3rd set, crowning them Regional Doubles Champions. These 3 boys move on to the TSSAA State Championship next week as they look to bring home gold!
