February 13th, 2026 Principal's Message
Hello Blevins Families,
A quick reminder that Student-Led Conferences are happening this week on Thursday, 2/19, 3-6:30pm. We look forward to welcoming you into our building as students take the lead in sharing their learning, reflecting on their progress, and setting goals for the remainder of the year. There is no need to sign up for an appointment; simply show up with your student and their charged laptop!
Please also remember that there is no school on Monday, as it is a Teacher Workday. We look forward to seeing our Bruin students on Tuesday.
Today, I had the opportunity to join our 7th graders on a field trip to the Lincoln Center to watch a performance on the origins of hip hop dance. It was a fantastic experience! Our students represented Blevins incredibly well. They were respectful, engaged, and truly enjoyed the performance. Thanks to our 7th grade teachers for facilitating this opportunity for our students.
Additionally, our 6th and 7th grade students have begun registering for electives for next school year. This is an exciting time as students start thinking about their interests and pathways. I encourage you to have a conversation with your student about their choices, and please don’t hesitate to reach out to your child’s counselor if you have any questions.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support.
Proudly,
Joe Zappa, Principal
