Student Class Schedules - Update
Junior High School Student schedules was released in Skyward Family/Student Access on Friday, August 21st at 3:00 PM. Parents needing help accessing Skyward may click here for more information. The window to request a schedule change for Semester 1 will close Thursday, August 27th at 3:00 PM.
Students interested in changing their schedule must complete a paper form and submit it to the Student Services office. The link to the paper form will be active starting Friday, August 21st and will be emailed to students/families at that time. School counselors will accept emailed pdfs or pictures of the completed paper form.
Schedule change requests may only be considered for students with:
1) ECCP class to fit into schedule (9th grade only)
2) Class failure/credit recovery (9th grade only)
3) A college requirement needed for acceptance
4) A graduation requirement to be met (9th grade only)
5) An online class approved
6) A course level change at semester (examples: English 7 to Advanced English 7 or AP
Government to Civics).
The following reasons are NOT acceptable reasons to change your schedule:
- To have a teacher change
- To be placed in a class with your friend
- To rearrange your schedule to your liking
- If the request imbalances class sizes (regardless of open seats)
No email or phone call requests regarding schedule changes will be accepted. You must complete the paper form.
Please note, schedule changes are based on the academic needs of students, class availability, and require written parent/guardian permission.
Waivers of this policy require principal approval and will be based on exceptional circumstances.
Student Image Opt Out Notice
The District may photograph, videotape, and record audio files of students and their accomplishments for use in newsletters, web pages, and the District’s social media channels. Occasionally, members of the media, such as television or newspapers, will feature individual students or groups who have excelled in a particular activity and may request to photograph or videotape students in connection with those stories.
We are proud of the accomplishments of our students, your children, and we look forward to celebrating their success with our larger community. At the same time, we respect that each family has unique considerations, and we are committed to honoring your wishes regarding media exposure.
If you do NOT want your student’s image (video, photo, and/or audio) to be displayed by the District, please submit a signed letter stating your request to the Superintendent’s Office no later than September 18, 2026:
Superintendent’s Office
Bliss Educational Services Center
1900 Polk Street
Stevens Point, WI 54481
Please note: This notice applies only to media collected or shared by the District, its officers, employees, agents, or representatives. This opt-out will remain in effect through September 17 of the following school year, unless it is revoked in writing by the parent or guardian.
We also ask that you speak with your student about your preference so they are aware and can assist us in honoring your request. Please understand that students involved in high-profile activities or public roles, such as athletics or student council, are more likely to be photographed or filmed. Additionally, because school campuses are occasionally public spaces, we cannot guarantee your student’s image will never appear incidentally in crowd shots.
For more information, please reference Board Policy 9151, Photographing, Filming, and/or Videotaping of Students in School.
We value your family’s privacy and appreciate your support as we continue to celebrate and share the incredible work happening in our schools.
