Congrats to US Navy Sailor Ethan Morin (Class of 2025)!
MHS Class of 2025 graduate, Ethan Morin graduated boot camp training on October 23rd and is officially a US Navy Sailor. Ethan was selected out of 101 recruits to be the APO (Athletic Petty Officer) for his division. Ethan had the fastest 1.5 mile run in his division and brother division. He continued this leadership role throughout his time at the Great Lakes of Illinois. Ethan ranked up to an E2 by excelling in leadership roles, passing physical and knowledge tests and by showing exceptional performance. To say we are proud is an understatement!

THE RESILIENCY PROJECT @ MHS
The Resiliency Project has kicked off with a Mental Health Awareness Project that allowed students to post sticky notes about Facts and Myths regarding Mental Health. They followed up with a Coping Skills Wall in the cafeteria over this past week. Students were able to add ways they cope with stress and anxiety and share their ideas with others. On Monday and Tuesday, students were also able to make their own stress balls during lunch. This project was very popular and very messy, so thank you to our custodians who swept up a lot of flour in the cafe this week.
In the month of November, the Resiliency Project will be focused on spreading awareness around anxiety and the available resources. If you are interested in joining the Resiliency Project, they meet every Tuesday during homeroom in Room 43 or ask Meagan Desjardins.
GAME CLUB & CHESS CLUB
Are you interested in playing video games, card games, or board games? Do you want to compete in chess tournaments? Game and Chess Club meets every Monday from 2 - 4 PM in the Library. All students are welcome to attend!

REMINDER: CELL PHONE & PERSONAL ELECTRONIC DEVICES
A reminder to students and families regarding cell phones and personal electronic devices - district policy prohibits the use of these devices during the school day, therefore school rules dictate that these devices are not to be found in a student's possession. School sanctioned options for storage as listed below - any deviation from those options will result in immediate and progressive consequences. (Of course, we want to avoid consequences if possible)
1. Leave the cell phone/personal electronic device at home.
2. Leave the cell phone/personal electronic devices in your vehicle or the vehicle of a friend/classmate.
3. Leave the cell phone/personal electronic device in your homeroom.
