A Message from the Principal
Chapman families,
Welcome back, Chapman families! It’s hard to believe a new school year is already here. I hope you all had a fun and relaxing summer! This year is a special one for me—it’s my 15th year in education and my fifth year here at Chapman. I’m really looking forward to seeing our returning families and warmly welcoming all the new ones joining us.
My family had a wonderful summer as well. My husband, Craig, and I live in Strongsville with our three little ones: Kellan, 5.5, Conley, 3.5, and Carter, 1.5. This fall is extra exciting for us because Kellan is starting kindergarten at Muraski, and Conley is beginning preschool!
I’m truly excited about the year ahead and can’t wait to work together with all of you to make it a great one for our kids. I will be sending out newsletters every week during August to keep you updated, then switch to every other week starting in September. These newsletters will be a helpful way to stay on top of important dates and school news.

Transportation Information
Transportation emails will be sent out next week inviting families to log into PowerSchool for updated bussing details. Please review your information carefully, as bus stops and routes have been revised. If you want your child to ride the bus and you are not on this list of non-bused streets, please sign up here as soon as possible: Transportation Request Form.

Ohio's "Sales Tax Holiday": August 1-August 14
This year, Ohio's annual 'sales tax holiday' is a two week event! It begins at 12:00 a.m. on Friday, August 1 and runs until 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, August 14.
It’s a perfect opportunity to save on all of your “Back to School” shopping!
Just a reminder, 2025-26 school supply lists can be found on our District website (www.scsmustangs.org) by clicking on the “Find It Fast” tab.

Clinic Information
Nursing staff will be available in the clinic at the open house on August 13th from 5-6:30pm. This is an opportunity for parents to drop off medications, medical supplies, action plans and to discuss medical needs with the nursing staff.
As a reminder, medication must have a prescriber and parent signature, remain in the original container, and the prescription label must match the order. Non-prescription medications require a prescriber order. New orders are required each school year.

Update Student Annual Forms
Starting Monday, August 4, 2025, annual information updates, including emergency forms, will be available on PowerSchool. Please log into your parent account and complete the update before school begins. All students must have a completed information online update prior to September 1st.

Baseball Youth Camp
Don't miss the Strongsville Baseball Youth Camp for ages 10 & up! Camp will be held from Tuesday, September 2 - Saturday, September 6 at the Strongsville High School Baseball & Softball Fields. Participants will receive baseball training from SHS players and staff and some great SHS Baseball gear. Click HERE to register. Questions?
