A+ PROGRAM
The Missouri A+ Scholarship Program provides eligible high school graduates with funds to cover tuition and general fees at participating public community colleges or vocational-technical schools in the state of Missouri. Some private technical schools and 4-year colleges also give a scholarship for being a graduate of the A+ program!
Program Requirements:
GPA: 2.5 cumulative and unweighted GPA - this can not be rounded!
ATTENDANCE: 95% over the 4 years of high school - this is roughly 8 days per school year. You can see this under "total percentage" in the A+ tab in Focus. Verified and unverified absences decrease the overall attendance percentage.
MATH PROFICIENCY: A score of Proficient or Advanced on the Algebra EOC or the Math score on the PreACT or ACT (factored with GPA).CITIZENSHIP: Students can earn no more than 10 days of suspensions during your time in high school.
MENTOR & TUTORING HOURS: 50 hours of mentoring or tutoring are required. These hours need to be completed with WSD students in a WSD building supervised by WSD staff. To begin these hours, students must attend a mandatory tutor training. These meetings are the 1st Tuesday of every month at 10:25 in room 314. In this tutor training, students will get instruction on how to set up your hours. If you can not attend this time due to dual enrollment, Lewis and Clark, etc., please contact Mrs. Chamberlain for an optional time. SENIORS - Hours are due May 1, 2027.

TRANSCRIPT
If you have recently applied to college or are currently working on college applications, we have a new system for requesting your transcript to be sent to colleges.
You can follow this link to complete the Parchment Form. All Parchment Requests will go directly to our registrar and she will send your transcript. Please keep in mind that we cannot send transcripts until all the summer grades have been entered and all GPAs and class ranks have been updated.
If you need an unofficial student transcript, please reach out to Mrs. Chamberlain.
LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION
Post secondary program admissions and scholarships often need a letter of recommendation. To request a LOR from Mrs. Chamberlain, students need to complete the LOR Request Form below and upload your Brag Sheet in the form. To guarantee a letter of recommendation is completed and submitted by the deadline, please be considerate in asking with two weeks notice.
If you are asking a teacher, alpha counselor, coach, or other trusted adult, please talk to them in person first! You can use this brag sheet for them as well. Two weeks notice is proper etiquette!
