Required Notification from TEA

Senate Bill 232 passed during the 86th legislative session requires school districts to send communication to the parents or guardians of any enrolled high school student regarding certain graduation requirements.

In order to graduate under the foundation high school program, students are not required to complete Algebra II. However, not successfully completing Algebra II can impact some college admissions and certain sources of financial aid. For more detailed information, please click on the links below.

Senior Parent Night Presented by the Legacy HS Counseling Department

Attention Senior Parents and Seniors:

We are having a senior parent night for students and parents on Wednesday, September 29th. The program will start at 6:00 pm in the Legacy PAC. We will be presenting important information regarding your senior year, college admissions, and financial aid. Please plan to attend this event on September 29th at 6:00 pm.

At the Midlothian HS XC Meet, we earned a 1st place finish overall for the boys’ Varsity team and 4th place finish for the girls’ Varsity! Way to go Broncos!

Legacy HS EOC Data Review - Beginning of the Year Review of 20-21 Data

Each year, we report out on our previous school year's EOC testing data at our first Site Based Decision Making Committee meeting of the year.

Below, you will find two graphs that highlight our results-

1. Overall Results: Our student performance on each of the five (5) STAAR EOC exams we give at the high school level.

2. 5 Year Comparison of Results: Our overall passing rate for each of the five (5) STAAR EOC exams.

According to our data, our district student performance on the Spring 21 EOC exams exceeded the performance of other DFW area high schools on almost every exam. Although our scores were not as high as they had been the previous testing year (2019), our students did quite well considering that we were in the midst of a global pandemic.

Additionally, our student performance has improved every year from 2017 to 2019. We did not receive scores in 2020. We tested again in 2021.

We are looking forward to our student performance rebounding/improving again in 2022 and in 2023. We will continue to learn and grow as educators in order to provide our students with a high quality learning experience that ensures that our students are prepared to excel on all future STAAR EOC exams.
