MEDICAL COMPLIANCE MEDICAL COMPLIANCE

The State of Illinois sets the policy on the requirements for Medical Compliance. Our school's goal is to have EVERY student medically compliant by October 7th! Beginning October 15th, students NOT compliant will not be allowed to return to school until they are compliant.

This resource (ENGLISH | SPANISH) will help families understand and discuss with their medical provider the requirements that are needed at each grade level. Below are flyers to support our families in finding clinics that can provide the necessary physicals and vaccinations.

2024-2025 OPTIONAL AFTER CARE FEES 2024-2025 OPTIONAL AFTER CARE FEES

Optional After-Care Related Fees (Staffing and Supplies):

This year’s Optional After-care program can no longer be sustained with funding from our school. We will implement a paid program model to cover the salary for supervising staff and supplies for the program. The goal of this program remains the same, and that is to provide an opportunity for our working parents to have reasonable access to child care here at school. Students enrolled in this program will have to be able to work independently and need minimal additional supervision.

We are providing this for informational purposes only. We will be sending a form in August to begin signing up.

Program Logistics:

  • Students will be “podded” based on their grade level and have time for homework and fun.

    • 2:45-3:00: Students will have an after-school snack/meal.

    • 3:00-3:45: Students will do their homework, read, use online ed tech programs, etc.

    • 4:00-5:00: Students will participate in 2 stations. These rotations will include going to the gym, going outside, doing STEM challenges, doing art projects, etc.

    • Special Note: When we have our OST Programs, students who are in those programs AND participating in After Care will first do their OST program THEN they will join After Care at 4:00.

  • Dismissal: This year, our hours will be from 2:45-5:00pm. Dismissal for this program will begin at 4:45 with students exiting the gym doors. Parents must be on time for pick-ups. Fees will be assessed every 10 minutes you are late. Consistent late pick-ups will result in your child losing the opportunity to stay in the program.

  • After-care Payments: We are working on the ability to make online payments through a credit/debit card directly to Jungman. We will also accept cash and issue receipts to parents.

    • Full payment for the After Care program is due at the midpoint of each quarter.

    • If you pay in full by the first day of the quarter, you receive a discount.

    • There are no additional pro-rates for people needing a limited number of days

    • An additional fee of 5.00 per 10 minutes for students picked up after 5:00.

    • Family Max fee: 3rd Sibling + no charge (family defined as siblings having 1 same guardian)

    • When Jungman offers after-school programming for enrichment (i.e., Cooking Class, Robotics, etc.) or after-school academic programs, students who participate in this Optional After-Care program will pay a reduced rate.

Outside Safety Checklist for Kids During the Summer

Outside Safety Checklist for Kids During the Summer

When it comes to protecting your kids from the sun, sunscreen plays an important role. But sunscreen is just one of the ways to guard against the sun's damaging rays. Because the sun's rays can reflect off of the sand and water or other reflective surfaces, hats, and sunglasses can also play an important role in preventing UV damage.
