March 2, 2026
Hello, Mustang Families!!! We made it to March! We have Parent-Teacher Conferences March 16-17, so be on the lookout for sign-ups from your Advisory teacher. Remember - if you would like to meet with an additional teacher, feel free to reach out to schedule a time to meet with them. All teacher contact info is in "Pod Teams (Teacher Info)" section of the newsletter each week. We look forward to seeing everyone there!
We have the Glow Dance this Friday right after school until 4:15! Pickup is at the front of the school - both grades. We look forward to seeing our students have a great time there!
We are announcing a challenge for Read Across America Week that you can learn about below. Please join us encouraging your child to read!

Cow Paddy Run
We’re officially three months away from the annual Cow Paddy Run on May 16th at Gulley Park! This annual charity race provides a fun, family-friendly fitness opportunity for students and the chance to win a portion of $4,000 in participation prize awards for our school. The Cow Paddy Run is presented by The Spark Foundation, a local nonprofit with a mission to create a positive impact in the community by providing increased access to health and fitness opportunities and education.
The top three Fayetteville elementary and middle schools with the most participants will earn funding to support health and fitness initiatives at their school:
1st Place: $2,000
2nd Place: $1,000
3rd Place: $500
To eliminate financial barriers, The Spark Foundation offers pay-your-age pricing for runners 5 to 12 years old. They also have scholarships for runners that need all registration fees waived. In addition to running, students can also enter a T-shirt design contest. The winning design will be printed on this year’s race shirt and $100 will be awarded to the young artist. Elementary and middle school students are eligible to participate and the deadline for submissions is March 20th. You can download the design template here. Designs can be uploaded and emailed to director@mysparkfoundation.org, or they can arrange for a Spark member to come pick them up from our school.
If you have any additional questions, please contact Coach Easley!

March
The CKH theme for the month of March is Step Up/Courage. This month we are focused on helping students understand that courage is not a magical remedy for fear. Instead, courage is a choice to push through fear, self-doubt, and anxiety to do things that feel hard or frightening. We are partnering with you this month to grow your child’s courage. This month’s activities will help your child understand that courage can equip them to make a positive impact at home, at school, and in the community.
