The Wallin Way Weekly Newsletter
Friday, March 27th
Good Evening K9 Families,
Wow, what an incredible week at Wallin Oaks! It was one of those weeks that really reminds us how special our school community is. Our Star Plus and Select students had a fantastic time on their bowling field trip, building both skills and memories together. All of our students also experienced Galaxy on the Go, a traveling planetarium that transformed our space and brought learning about stars and planets to life in such an engaging way. We wrapped up the week with our spring grade level parties, which were filled with laughter, connection, and plenty of fun. It was truly a great balance of learning and celebration for our students.
We are also excited to share that the Board of Education approved the hiring of Wallin Oaks’ new principal for the 2026 - 2027 school year. Mr. Patrick Graff will officially begin on July 1, 2026, and he is eager to get started and meet our school community. He will be in attendance at our upcoming PTA meeting on Tuesday, April 7th at 6:00 pm. We encourage you to stop by if you would like the opportunity to meet him and help welcome him to Wallin Oaks.
As we head into spring break, we hope your family is able to take time to relax, recharge, and enjoy some well deserved time together. Thank you, as always, for your continued support.

Dr. Marie Zlotnikov, Principal

School Information
Attendance and Transportation Reminders
We kindly ask all families to notify both the classroom teacher and the main office if your student will be absent for any reason. Clear communication helps us ensure accurate attendance records and maintain a safe, organized school environment.
Additionally, if there are any changes to your child’s transportation plans—such as switching from a bus rider to a car rider—please inform the main office directly. Our office staff will relay the information to the appropriate teacher.
Lastly, for the safety and efficiency of our drop-off procedure, please pull all the way forward in the car line and have students exit the vehicle on the side of the school.
Thank you for helping us keep everything running smoothly!
Pick Up and Drop Off Reminders
Morning Drop Off
For the safety of all students, we kindly ask that families do not park at Ira Jones during morning drop-off. Instead, please use the designated car line, which is designed to keep traffic moving safely and efficiently.
To help maintain a steady flow, we also ask that drivers remain in their vehicles at all times during drop-off. Following these procedures ensures a safe and smooth start to the day for everyone.
Afternoon Pick Up
Please remember to turn off your car while waiting to pick up your student after school. Running cars pose a safety risk for students and teachers walking up and down the car lines, and it's also important to reduce the fumes in the air for everyone’s health. Thank you for helping us keep our school environment safe and healthy!
