• 1st Grade Field Trip to Bangor Public Library - Wednesday, May 21 from 9:30-11:00
• PreK Field Trip - Thursday, May 22
• PTO Spring Fair and Ice Cream Social - Thursday, May 22 from 5:30 - 7:00 pm (rain date June 5th)
• 2nd Grade Field Trip to Roger's Farm at UMaine - Friday, May 23 (bus leaves at 9:15 and returns around 11:30)
• 3rd Grade "Downeast to Bangor" Art Field Trip with Mr. Boomer - Tuesday, May 27 from 9:15 - 10:15 am
• School Committee Meeting - Wednesday, May 28 at Bangor High School at 7:00 pm
• 3rd Grade combined Chorus Concert at Peakes Auditorium - Thursday, May 29 at 5:30 pm (Students need to arrive by 5:15 pm.)

Thank you to all of the 3rd Grade parents for making sure your child came to school on time Tuesday and Wednesday, well rested and ready for their assessments! I was so proud of how hard they all worked! You should received reports with your child's scores later this summer or early in the fall.

Our VERY busy weeks have started and they will be continuing for the next few weeks. I will be sending out reminders to parents via email about upcoming field trips for your children. Please watch for those reminders and call the school with any questions! 😃🚌

We are having a bit of weather whiplash these days! It can go from cool to warm and sunny to windy in a heartbeat! It might be a good idea for your child to dress in layers or bring an extra set of clothes they can change into if they are warm or cold. If they come in pants, pack some shorts if they get hot. If they wear a sweatshirt or sweater, have them wear a t-shirt underneath. Hopefully the weather will become a little more consistent in the near future! 👖🩳👕🧥

The PTO will be hosting their annual Spring Fair on Thursday, May 22 (rain date is June 5) from 5:30 - 7:00 pm at Vine Street. There will be music, games, and an ice cream social. Vine Street's Free Book cart will be out for families to select a book to take home! Come join us for an evening of fun!!

PTO's final fundraiser for the year will be Tuesday, May 20th. If you are able to dine in, door dash delivery, or pick up an order from Portland Pie any time on May 20th, please mention "Vine Street School Fundraiser" so the PTO can get 10% of all sales
