Make sure to check your student's academic progress on Q Connect. Quarter 1 marks the half way point for the semester. Grades are final when semester 1 concludes after Friday, December 19th. a few reminders:
- Check grades on Q Connect under "Marks". Some teachers also use canvas for grades, but all official marking periods are communicated through Q Connect only.
- Have your student email their teachers. This is a great skill to learn now before high school. Encourage your student to use their school email address. For reference this email is the students ID number followed by @learn.conejousd.net. ALL students have a school email address. It is important to communicate with your teachers about their grades early.
- DO NOT WAIT UNTIL DECEMBER! Early intervention is key. Counselors will be communicating with students who have D/F grades as well.
- Reminder for 8th graders- you must pass your classes by the end of the semester in order to be eligible for end of the year activities. DON'T DELAY- REACH OUT TO YOUR TEACHER TODAY.
Outdoor school will be held over two weeks this year for Redwood.
- Sixth grade students with last names that start with letters A-K will be attending camp January 27th -30th, 2026.
- Sixth grade students with last names starting with letters L-Z will be attending camp February 3rd-6th 2026.
Be sure you have your calendars marked for the Parent Information Meeting, hosted by Tom Hoegeman (CVUSD Outdoor School Program), being held on Wednesday, November 5 at 6:00pm in the Redwood Gym. Feel free to visit the CVUSD Outdoor School website for more information.

The window to purchase CVUSD chromebook protection will close after November. After next month no student or family will be able to purchase device protection for the remainder of the school year. This means that every student who has a CVUSD device checked out is responsible for any cost to repair or replace the device.
- Students who need to repair the device without district insurance will need to go to a private repair shop.
- Note- Redwood will not issue temporary loaner devices to student during the time f repair, unless written documentation is provided by the repair shop that the device is currently being serviced.
