KMS NEWSLETTER

Dear KMS Families,
Just a reminder that we’ll have early release at 2:30 PM every day this week. Please see the modified bell schedule attached below. Please keep in mind that students will be in many different places this week, and not always in the KMS building. If you need to pick your student up early this week, make a note of where they will be and give us plenty of time to get the message to them, as they may be in the auditorium, at a park, on a field trip, etc.
If you haven’t yet, please complete re-enrollment for next school year:
https://www.kibsd.org/current-student-re-enrollment/
On Wednesday, May 27, students will attend a presentation on sexual harassment due to growing concerns about inappropriate behaviors that have been increasing. The presentation will include speakers from the Kodiak Police Department and the KIBSD District Office, and will inform students about the potential legal and Title IX consequences of these actions. Letters with more information were emailed home, and are attached at the bottom of this message.
And finally - still in effect: students who receive office referrals may not be eligible for some of the upcoming end-of-year events.
Let’s help everyone finish strong and enjoy the celebrations of the end of the year!
Thanks for your support!
Rena Rankin, Principal
Judith Bruns, Assistant Principal

Office referrals for Tier II or Tier III behavior concerns starting May 6 may disqualify students from attending that event.
