Calvary Moravian Church Weekly
Watchword for the Week
Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel, and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: I am the first and I am the last; besides me there is no god.
~ Isaiah 44:6
Baptism Joy!
Our hearts are full after a wonderful, celebratory weekend at Calvary! We had the privilege of welcoming Alfy Mencia into God's family through baptism.
There is nothing quite like the reminder of the baptismal waters, which offer us a tangible sign that God's love always runs ahead of us, preceding any act of faith on our part.

With nature in its power and beauty, with rain and wind and sunshine, with the ancient rocks and the budding flower;
We gather in praise of God.
With believers and seekers the whole world wide, with people in every land, and with speakers of every language,
We gather in praise of God.
With Jesus who promised his presence and the Spirit who showers her blessings,
We gather in praise of God.
Here let heaven and earth embrace,
Here may God’s people find home.

Lord’s Prayer/Pastoral Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth

Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses

For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.

For the month of July our joyful noise offering will be going to Camp Hope! Camp Hope is the camping ministry of the Eastern District within the Moravian Church Northern Province that creates, hosts, and offers camping opportunities for all of God's children!
Ways to Give to the Ministries at Calvary
As reminder, there are several different ways to give your offerings here at Calvary.
- Bring your offering to Sunday worship.
- Mail your offering to the church office at 948 N. 21st Street, Allentown, PA 18104.
- Use your bank’s “BILL PAY” service. A one-time or recurring payment can be made by a bank on your behalf. Banks that offer this service typically cut a check and mail it to the church at no cost to you. Contact your bank for details. The bank usually asks for an account number. Just call Calvary office beforehand and Jess will supply an account number to you or just use your envelope number.
- Make an online payment through the Moravian Giving Portal – https://mmfa.info/giving-portal/. Go to this link, click on our church’s name and follow the instructions to make a one-time gift or a recurring monthly gift. Donations can be made by members and non-members via direct debit of a bank account or by credit card. All donation processing fees for portal gifts are now paid by the Moravian Ministries Foundation – your full donation will be received by your church.
