A Message from Mr. Larsen
Hello KMMS Families,
I hope everyone is doing well and staying warm. We have had two great quarters at KMMS, and our staff and students are looking forward to and excited about the start of Quarter 3. We have had a terrific week, and look forward to continued success in the coming months. I have attached a few important notes and reminders below. Please feel free to reach out to the KMMS office should you have any questions.
Brrr... It's Cold Outside
As always, I want to remind everyone about dressing appropriate during the winter months. Please make sure your child is dressing appropriately for the weather each day. We utilize our outdoor spaces as often as possible, and want to remind students and families that hats, gloves, coats, and pants are essential.
Registration Information
I want to take a minute and share brief information with parents about the upcoming registration process for students in grades 5, 6, and 7. We are fortunate to offer an extensive and rich experience for our students and work diligently to ensure a meaningful schedule for our students. In the coming weeks, you will get an email from me regarding student registration for the 2026-27 school year. Please make sure to review the dates and timelines with your child(ren). Always feel free to reach out with questions.
Open House Conferences - Thursday, February 12, 2025 from 3:30-6:30 pm
KMMS will host our last parent-teacher conferences for the 25-26 school year on Thursday, February 12. Conferences are a great opportunity to connect with your child's teachers and discuss current progress and achievement. We hope to see you there. Please know conferences begin at 3:30 and end at 6:30 pm.
Quarter 2 Report Cards Available
All Quarter 2 grades will be posted to Infinite Campus by Monday, February 2. If you have any difficulties accessing your child's report card, please contact the middle school office at 507-634-4030.
HyVee Cash for Students
Do you regularly shop at HyVee? Do you have unwanted grocery receipts laying around the house? Well, if you do, please consider donating them to KMES or KMMS. For every $250, KM Schools earns $1. Feel free to drop them off at at KMES or KMMS office. We will gladly take them off your hands.
Thank You
Thank you for your continued support of KMMS. We are very fortunate to partner with such terrific students, parents, and families. Stay warm, and have a wonderful month of February.
Together in KoMet Pride,
Josh Larsen

Partnering with Family Service Rochester
We are excited to welcome Libby, our new School-Based Mental Health Therapist from Family Service Rochester! Libby will be collaborating with our District School Counselors and Social Workers to provide therapeutic services to K-12 students.
If you think your child may benefit from mental health services, please contact Alicia Snow,
