Principal's Message
A Few Oakwood Reminders
A huge thank you to all of our Oakwood families who donated candy for our Trick or Treat event on Thursday! We had our biggest turnout yet, and we loved seeing all of our Huskies dressed up, having fun, and enjoying the festivities. Thank you for helping make this such a special event for our students and community! Enjoy some photos below!
A Few Reminders for Families:
Tennis Shoes Only: It is an Oakwood expectation that all students wear tennis shoes to school. This is an important safety precaution that helps protect students' feet, ankles, and legs while they are playing and participating in activities throughout the day.
Appropriate Clothing: It is also an Oakwood expectation that students' midsections remain covered while at school. Please help us by ensuring that shirts are worn appropriately and provide adequate coverage throughout the school day.
Thank you for partnering with us and helping us maintain a safe, respectful, and positive learning environment for all of our Huskies!

Parent Volunteers: New SB 848 Requirement
Beginning July 1, 2026, California Senate Bill 848 requires school volunteers who meet the definition of a volunteer under the law to complete annual Mandated Reporter and Child Abuse Prevention training before or upon beginning volunteer service.
This training helps ensure that adults working with our students understand their responsibility to recognize, prevent, and report suspected child abuse and to maintain appropriate boundaries with students.
If you are interested in volunteering at Oakwood this year, please see the information below. We appreciate our parent volunteers and the important role you play in supporting our students and school community!
