Mustang Message

Thank you for supporting our PTO fundraiser this year! I am happy to say we met our goal and made a total profit of $47,450!!! How amazing is our community?!? Thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting our fundraising goals to help our school.

The last step for Boosterton, if your child received donations, is to make sure you login to the Reward Store with them at home so you can help them pick out their prizes!

Our 3rd 9 weeks awards assembly will be held next Wednesday, on April 8. You will know if your child is getting an award because their teacher will reach out to you or you will see that they made all A's on their report card. 2nd-5th grade report cards are available in the Skyward Portfolio.

Students who receive an award will get a dog tag. If your child previously received a dog tag, feel free to have them wear them to school for the awards assembly. That way they can display their previous achievements and add another dog tag to the chain if they get another one!

Award times are listed below:

7:50-8:10 -- 5th grade

8:15-8:35 -- 4th grade

8:40-9:00 -- 3rd grade

9:05-9:25 -- 2nd grade

9:30-9:45 -- 1st grade

9:50-10:05 -- Kindergarten

Next week is Gifted and Talented Students Week in Texas! Here are two ways you can get involved in supporting our gifted learners:

The district also has a G/T Advisory Committee. Here is more information if you are interested in taking part in that for the 2026-2027 school year: PfISD GT Advisory Committee
The Texas Association for GT is hosting a Parent Webinar: Supporting Your Gifted Child: 5 Tips for Your Parenting Journey

Where: RSVP Here

STAAR testing begins next week. On days when your child is taking the STAAR test, you will not be able to eat lunch with them. I have listed the testing dates below as well as changes that will effect 5th grade lunch on April 15 and April 29.

Lunch Time Changes for April 15 and April 29:

5th grade will eat lunch from 11:35-12:05 on these two days
3rd grade will eat lunch from 12:45-1:15 on these two days. However, since students are testing on these days, please plan not to eat lunch with your 3rd grader on these days.

STAAR Testing Dates:

April 14 -- 5th grade RLA
April 15 -- 3rd and 4th grade RLA
April 16-17 -- RLA Make-ups
April 21 -- 5th grade Science
April 22-24 -- Science Make-ups
April 28 -- 5th grade Math
April 29 -- 3rd and 4th grade Math
April 30-May 1 -- STAAR Make-ups

We also will not be able to have volunteers upstairs on STAAR testing days. We can still have visitors and volunteers downstairs, as long as it is not in a grade level that is testing that day. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility.

Favor is running a fundraiser for us through May 31. Any order placed with MES designated earns 15% back, whether it's groceries or deliveries! See the flyer below for more information.

All STAAR tests for students in grades 3-5 are administered online. If your child wants to use a mouse with their Chromebook for the STAAR test, only a wired mouse will work for that particular test. Feel free to send your child with a wired mouse on their testing day if they prefer to have one.

See below for updates from our school counselor, Ms. Vandeloock. Please email her at susan.vandeloock@pfisd.net if you have any questions or want to opt your child out of classroom guidance lessons.
