Five $500 scholarships will be awarded at the Spring Concert on May 9th.

Please note that the deadline to turn the application in to Mr. Keyes is Monday, May 1st. Transcripts can be downloaded and printed from skyward by clicking on the portfolio tile. Please print and turn them in with your application to Mr. Keyes.

Color guard students that will be participating in color guard recruiting will meet at Danville Middle School at 9 am on Friday. Students must provide their own transportation to and from Danville MS. Please bring a lunch.

Our Jazz Band has been asked to play at the Comal ISD retirement banquet at Allen Farmhaus on Thursday, May 4th from 5:30-6 pm. Dinner will be provided. More details to follow.

The Wind Ensemble is performing at the American Classic Music Festival at Seguin HS on Friday, May 5th at 3:40 pm. We are using this as an opportunity to get another recording for concert band competitions. We will be back at DHS at about 5:30 pm that afternoon.

The wind ensemble is performing at the Youth Orchestra of San Antonio Invitational at the Tobin Center on May 23rd at 3 pm. Seniors will join the band after the elephant walk that morning. This performance is open to the public and is free.

The Comal ISD School Board called for a bond at their workshop on Wednesday, February 15, 2023. I encourage you to educate yourself and others regarding the bond, and I encourage everyone to vote. Information about the bond can be found by following the link below.

Proposition B will benefit the band and color guard by giving us additional seating in our stadium. Comal ISD residents will have the opportunity to vote in the bond election on Saturday, May 6, 2023. The deadline to register to vote is Thursday, April 6. Early voting begins April 24 and runs through May 2.

All students who advanced to the UIL Texas State Solo and Ensemble Contest will be attending the contest on May 29th with the exception of the trumpet quartet playing Dos Tiempos. The district has decided to send us the day of instead of the day before. We will not be staying overnight at a hotel the night before. More details to follow.
