Principal Gretchen's Notes

We've had a wonderful start to the new school year! There is so much excitement and positive energy for the start of school! These past two days I've enjoyed visiting classrooms and hearing how everyone spent their summer recess!

We are all so excited for the school year, and the many learning opportunities our teachers are planning! Please make sure to read my weekly newsletter for upcoming events! Additionally, the school facebook page and school website will also advertise upcoming events!

We are so excited for a fun filled year of learning! And, as always, our doors are always open. We invite families to volunteer, share life experiences, or join one of the many organizations we have here at the school!

Enjoy the long weekend and we look forward to seeing the students back on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.

We welcome Grandparents to join us for a Grandparent Lunch on on September 5, 2025. You can buy lunch from Ashley and Jaime, our amazing chefs for $6.00 or bring your own lunch. Preschool Grandparents are welcome to join preschool lunch which begins at 12:00. Lunch with the K- 6 students begins at 12:30, and ends at 1:00! We hope to see you there. Please RSVP at atompkins@rhconwell.org.

Chief Dondiego and his volunteers guided the students through their fire drill of the school year! Afterwards, Chief met with the students to give them some feedback! Afterwards, students walked outside for a tour of the fire truck!

The After-School Program will begin on Monday, September 15th! The program will be open on full days of school - Monday through Friday from 3:20 to 5:15 for grades 1st through 6th and Monday through Thursday for Kindergarten. The After-School Program is free to students thanks to the 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant through the Department of Education (DESE). DESE requires students to enroll and attend the program a minimum of 2 days a week.

• PTO will have Hillside Pizza, salad, and cookie for sale beginning at 5:00 p.m.

September 24, 2025: NOON Dismissal

September 25, 2025: AfterSchool Intergenerational COA Dance. More information to come.

September 26, 2025:

• Family breakfast
• 5/6 to lead All School Meeting beginning at 9:05. Family and community members are invited!
