Instead of working on Fluency Flight, students will be required to work on Frax. Please help them complete a mission 3 times per week if possible. We may not have enough time in class to reach the 3 per week that the program suggests, but we will have enough time for focused kids to complete sector 1 before our end of year testing.

All of sector 1 is due before our end of year RISE test and is required for our carnival.

In-Class Requirements

2 lessons on i-Ready

30 minutes of typing

Complete 2 different days of Fluency Flight on i-Ready (Finished when you are unable to play any more games) (This has changed from 4 times per week, since we have not had time in class for all 4 sessions. I highly recommend doing it at home to reach the recommended 4 sessions per week!)
Classwork for the week (CKLA, 95% Group, literacy spiral, math spiral, Ready Math, homeroom work)

Homework Requirements

Literacy: read for 20 minutes per night, M-F, record minutes on the Google Doc

Catch up on any unfinished classwork and online programs

Read 20 mins

Make sure 1 mission of Frax is completed

Wednesday

Read 20 mins

Make sure 1 mission of Frax is completed, start the second mission

23 minutes/1 lesson passed on i-Ready

Thursday

Read 20 mins

Make sure 2 missions of Frax are completed

45 minutes/2 lessons passed on i-Ready

Friday

Read 20 mins

Make sure at least 2 missions of Frax are completed, preferably 3 missions

Total of 45 mins/2 lessons passed on i-Ready

Weekend

Catch up! Students are graded on reading minutes, Frax, and i-Ready.

Email me if you want to present or help out in class. Remember, you need a background check with our school in order to volunteer in class, including during parties. I'll send out requests for at-home help, special event volunteering, and field trip chaperones as we get to them.

We would also love fun activities for Magical Mondays! You can come in and guide a game or craft, or you can put together activity or craft bags and send them in with instructions! I will email when we have our Magical Monday dates set.
