Student Led Conferences
We are excited to invite you to our upcoming student-led conferences, taking place from October 20th to 23rd. Please look for information from your child’s classroom teacher on how to sign up for a time that works for your family. These conferences are an excellent opportunity for parents to connect with teachers and discuss their child's progress in reading, math, social studies, and science. Meeting with your child’s teacher helps build a stronger partnership to support your child’s learning, celebrate their achievements, and identify areas for growth. We look forward to seeing you there!

Construction at Lincoln
We’re excited to share that Lincoln will be getting some big updates over the next year! These changes will make our school safer, more modern, and more comfortable for everyone. The construction will take some time, but our main goal is to keep learning on track and limit classroom disruptions.
Here’s the plan:
-
August–November 2025: Crews will replace the roof on the oldest part of the building (along 2nd Ave). Work above classrooms will only happen when rooms are empty to keep students and staff safe.
-
December 2025–March 2026: Workers will update the inside of that same part of the building after school hours, starting around 3:30–4:00 p.m. and finishing at midnight.
-
Spring 2026: New heating and air systems will be installed. Crews will also begin updates in the newer part of the building (closer to the playground). Only a few classrooms will be worked on at a time while school is in session.
-
Summer 2026: Workers will finish the roof and inside updates in the newer section. Everything will be ready before school starts again in August 2026.
We know construction can be a challenge, but we’re doing everything we can to keep learning safe and steady. When it’s finished, Lincoln will be a more comfortable place for students and teachers to focus on learning.
Parents are Invited to Join the PBIS Tier 1 Team!
The Tier 1 PBIS team shapes the way Lincoln Elementary supports student behavior and attendance. We review schoolwide behavior and attendance data, identify trends, plan reteaching of expectations, and organize rewards and events like attendance celebrations and school dances.
Your input as a parent or guardian is critical. You bring insights on how school routines and expectations affect students, helping us make decisions that truly support their success.
Come join us! Our next meetings are Wednesday, October 8, Wednesday, November 5, and Wednesday, November 19. Arrive by 3:10 PM and the meeting will be in the staff PD room. Your voice matters, and we want to hear it!

Our courtyard garden is showing off its fall colors, a beautiful reminder that learning and growth happen in every season.
Grading Changes for Students in Grades 2–5
This year, report cards for grades 2–5 will look a little different. The Twin Falls School District is going back to the traditional A–F grading system. In the past, we used standards-based grading, which showed how students were doing on specific skills. While that gave detailed feedback, many families and staff shared that they prefer the more familiar A–F system.
With this change, student progress will now be shown as both a percentage and a letter grade. Teachers will still add comments to give more information about your child’s learning. Our goal remains the same : to give you clear and helpful updates about your student's growth.
If you have questions about the new report card format, please contact your child’s teacher or the school office.
Breakfast and Lunch
All students eat breakfast and lunch for FREE!
Breakfast starts at 7:35 a.m. Please make sure your child arrives with enough time to eat so they aren't late for class.

If you’d like to volunteer at Lincoln Elementary—whether it’s reading to kids, helping on field trips, assisting on the playground, or supporting classroom parties—you must complete the TFSD volunteer form first. Please use the button below to fill out the form. This form needs to be completed every three years. It usually takes a few days to process, so please submit the form a few days before your planned volunteer activity to ensure you’re cleared in time. If you’re unsure whether you’re already on the list or if it’s time for you to update your form, call the office at (208) 733-1321, and we can check for you.
