Parent Update 25-26
Watertown High School
Parent Update 5.29.26
As the school year comes to a close, this will be our final parent update for the 25-26 school year. I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to all of our families. Your partnership, support, and dedication to our school community have made this a truly remarkable year. We have watched our students grow academically, socially, and emotionally, and we could not be prouder of their hard work.
Please keep an eye out for a brief logistics email in mid-summer regarding back-to-school dates and registration details. Until then, I wish you all a safe, relaxing, and joyful summer break with your loved ones. Thank you for a wonderful year!

The Class of 2026 Graduation Ceremony will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 10 a.m. in the WHS Fieldhouse. Arrangements are being made to live-stream the ceremony for additional family members. No graduation tickets will be needed this year.
Senior Fees
All student fees are to be paid to the Bookkeeping Office or via Skyward/RevTrak. Payments may be made by cash or credit card only. Remember, fees must be paid by cash or credit card in order to participate in the Graduation Ceremony. Students will be notified at Graduation Rehearsal if they have any remaining outstanding fees. Parents can check their student fees at any time via Skyward Family Access.
Graduation Caps & Gowns
Seniors who missed the pick up of Jostens senior items, should stop in the Main Office to pick up their items. Students who didn't order their cap and gown yet, are encouraged to do so ASAP, by calling the Jostens Office at 262-899-8334 or ordering on their website: jostens.com.
Hayes' Happenings
I want to extend a sincere thank you to all of the students and parents I have had the privilege of working with and getting to know over the past four years. It has truly been an honor to serve this amazing community.
My family and I have immensely enjoyed our time as Goslings. As we begin our next chapter in Florida, we are grateful for the opportunity to spend precious time with family — a decision we felt was the right one for us.
Although we may be far away, we will continue watching, supporting, and cheering on Gosling Nation from afar. We wish all of you nothing but the very best that life has to offer.
Forever a Gosling!
Mr. Hayes
Student Immunization Requirements
If your child will be in 12th grade during the 2026/2027 school year, we need to have dates of two ACWY containing meningitis vaccines, unless the first dose was given after your child was 16 years old. Parents/guardians may sign a personal conviction or religious waiver for these meningitis vaccines, just as they may for other vaccinations, or have a medical waiver signed by a healthcare practioner.
If you have any questions about the immunization requirements, please contact either your child’s medical provider or Lynn Gilbert, WUSD School Nurse, at 920-262-1460 x 3219.
SORA Sweet Reads
May 18 - August 24
Watertown High School students can access thousands of books, comics, magazines, and graphic novels all summer long through SORA, our digital reading app. The best part? These books are available with simultaneous access, which means there are no waitlists. Students simply log in with their @mywusd Google account on a school or personal device.
Summer reading helps students maintain literacy skills, explore new interests, and develop a lifelong love of reading. Whether your child enjoys graphic novels, mysteries, nonfiction, fantasy, or audiobooks on the go, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
We encourage all students to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity and make reading part of their summer routine! If you have any questions or need help accessing SORA, please see Mrs. Klubertanz in the Media Center.
Summer Library Challenge
"Plant a Seed, Read!"
Looking for ways to keep your teen engaged, creative, and reading this summer? The Watertown Public Library is hosting its Summer Library Challenge: “Plant a Seed, Read!” for students entering grades 6–12 (ages 11–17). From June 1–July 26, teens can participate in weekly activities, earn prizes for reading, and attend fun events like tie-dye, painting, trivia, escape rooms, crafts, and after-hours teen lock-ins.
The library’s summer programs are a great way for students to stay connected with peers, explore new interests, and keep reading skills strong over the summer months. Registration is required for some events, and space may be limited. Families can learn more and sign up at Watertown Public Library.

Goslings Thriving at WHS
National Honor Society
On Sunday, May 17th we celebrated 7 outstanding students who were inducted into the National Honor Society! Their dedication to scholarship, leadership, service, and character earned them this incredible achievement. Congratulations to our newest NHS members.
We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our graduating NHS officers. Your leadership, service, dedication, and positive impact have helped shape our chapter and inspire those around you. We are grateful for all you’ve contributed and wish you the very best in your next chapter.
AP Environmental Science
Last Friday, May 22, Mrs. Hein's AP Environmental Science students traveled to Webster Elementary to read to Mrs. Huebner's Kindergarten class. APES students, individually or in pairs, wrote and illustrated their own environmentally-themed children’s book that they read to the 5K class. The students did a great job coming up with and writing their own story and illustrating all of the images themselves.
Orchestra Trip
The Watertown High School Orchestras had an incredible day sharing the joy of orchestral music with our local elementary schools. Students visited Schurz, Webster, LEAP, and Lincoln Elementary, performing and introducing younger students to the instruments, sounds, and excitement of live orchestra music.
