Tuesday, May 26th: Last Day of School for Students & 8th Grade Day
Wednesday, May 27th: Work Day for Teachers
Last Day Information!
Hello Lesher Families and Community,
Our last day of school for all students will be next Tuesday, May 26th. This is a full day for students with the usual 7:30am start time and 2:25pm dismissal. Wednesday, May 27th is a teacher workday to help our building prepare for our summer construction project.
Also, on Tuesday, May 26th we will continue our tradition of an 8th Grade Day where our 8th graders have the opportunity to have fun, celebrate, and spend time with their teachers and one another. We know that 8th grade families would like the opportunity to be included in the celebration on this day. I would like to invite 8th grade families to Lesher after the 8th grade assembly to take part in more celebration.
We will provide cake, a photo area, and space to be together. We will also display the 8th grade video montage. Feel free to bring treats to share. If interested, please arrive at 9:15am. Families can stay until 10:30am, as we must prepare the cafeteria for grade level lunches. Please know that this is a very informal gathering to share some time, hugs and laughs and to provide an opportunity for students and families to celebrate their Lesher middle school experience. You may check out your 8th grader after the celebration.
Please let us know if you have any questions.

☀️ Happy Summer!☀️
Summer Garden Volunteers Needed
Attention Lesher Community!
Do YOU want fresh produce?? At absolutely no cost?? Then consider becoming a Lesher garden volunteer over the summer! Volunteers sign up for 3-4 day commitments and during that time they water the garden and harvest whatever the garden produces that week. Watering and harvesting takes less than 30 minutes and, depending on the weather, does not need to happen every day! Your commitment could be as little as 1-3 days.
Imagine cooking a meal with fresh vegetables that came from a garden your student helped plant and care for! If you are interested in volunteering this summer, please reach out to Ms. Natalie Giza, the garden steward at ngiza@psdschools.org! I will have more info regarding dates and garden procedures shortly. Thanks for everything you do and for your support in this awesome learning opportunity.
Thanks,
Ms. Giza
A Message from the Health Office
End of the Year Medication Pickup
Dear Lesher Parents/Guardians, it's that time of year to make a plan for picking up any meds we keep for your student in the Health Office.
Medications CANNOT be sent home with students at the end of the school year, an adult MUST pick them up.
Parents must pick up all medications ON OR BEFORE the last day of school.

NON-EMERGENCY and AS-NEEDED meds can be picked up anytime before or on the last day of school.
EMERGENCY & SCHEDULED meds should remain in the Health Office until the last day of school.
If meds need to be picked up before the last day of school, please stop by or call the Health Office to arrange with the School RN or Health Tech.
All meds not claimed by the end of the day on Tuesday 5/26 will be taken by the School Nurse for proper disposal.
ONCE ANY UNCLAIMED MEDS ARE TAKEN BY THE SCHOOL NURSE FOR DISPOSAL, WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET THEM BACK!!

Boys & Girls Club Information
Dear Club Families,
Happy May! As we turn the page into a new month, there’s a lot of energy and excitement building here at the Club—and for good reason.
I’m currently in Charlotte attending the Boys & Girls Clubs of America National Conference, Accelerating Impact, and it’s been an incredibly refreshing and motivating experience. Being surrounded by passionate leaders from across the country has given me a renewed perspective and plenty of ideas to help push our Club—and more importantly, our members—to new heights that I know we are all capable of reaching. I’m excited to bring that energy back home and continue building something truly special together.
Looking ahead, summer is right around the corner! We’re thrilled to give you a sneak peek at our Summer of Discovery programming. While calendars are still being finalized, the versions attached will give you a sense of the structure, themes, and opportunities your child can look forward to. We can’t wait for a summer full of growth, fun, and new experiences.
Summer registration is open, and we encourage you to secure your spot as soon as possible.
Summer Orientation Information
We are so excited to have your child join us for Summer of Discovery at the Fort Collins Boys & Girls Club. Please see information below about mandatory parent orientations.
- Orientation is required for your member to attend the summer program. We will discuss the program details and answer any questions you may have. There are two options for orientation. We may schedule a makeup orientation if needed.
- Virtual: Friday, May 22 ⋅ 5:30 – 6:30pm (https://meet.google.com/ejb-vzoa-gpb)
- In person (Spanish): Friday, May 22 ⋅ 5:30 – 6:30pm
- If you have a child at Dunn or Kruse Elementary, you will hear from those directors about a separate orientation.
Please reach out with any questions. We can't wait to have a great summer!
Keystone Parents Night Out – Family Night & Fundraiser
We also want to give a big shoutout to our Keystone group for organizing an upcoming Parents Night Out! This special evening will be centered around self-care, featuring therapy dogs and an aromatherapist to help create a relaxing and rejuvenating environment.
We encourage parents to take this time to focus on themselves—whether that means enjoying a quiet evening, running errands, or simply recharging. You’ve earned it!
Families are also welcome to stay and enjoy the event together if they’d like. We are asking for a $10 per family donation, with all proceeds going toward sending our Keystone members to the National Conference this summer. This event is also open to non-registered members ages 6+.
It’s a great cause and a great night—win-win.
As always, thank you for being such an important part of our Club community. We’re heading into an exciting season, and we’re grateful to have you along for the journey.
