Let’s Grow the Peer Workforce, Together
What if we could open more doors for people in recovery to step into meaningful careers, together?
The Philadelphia Recovery Training Center (PRTC), part of The Council of Southeast Pennsylvania (PRO-ACT), prepares peers and community members with the skills, training, and support needed to succeed in recovery and the workforce.
All training services are offered at no cost to Philadelphia residents through funding from the Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual Disability Services (DBHIDS).
At PRTC, we are actively working to expand and strengthen the peer workforce by increasing access to training, certification, and career pathways, especially for communities that have been historically underserved, including Spanish-speaking individuals.
How We’re Expanding the Peer Workforce
We are building pathways that support individuals from interest to employment by:
- Offering bilingual (English & Spanish) trainings to reduce language barriers
- Providing workforce development and career readiness support
- Creating opportunities for certification (CRS/CFRS) and continuing education
- Supporting peers with resume building, job readiness, and professional growth
- Connecting individuals to real career opportunities in the recovery field
Why Partner with Us?
Because together, we can:
- Reach more individuals and build a stronger, more diverse peer workforce
- Bring accessible, high-quality trainings directly to your community
- Co-create trainings that meet your organization’s needs
- Open pathways for people to grow, lead, and succeed in peer workforce careers
This is more than training, it’s about creating opportunities, building confidence, and strengthening our community.
Let’s work together to expand the peer recovery workforce. Reach out to get started!
