We appreciate the many donations of snacks, books for our book vending machine and clothes for our Nurse's Office. Our Holmes Road families are so generous with these donations and it helps support all Road Runners in our school.

Speaking of donations....our Lost and Found is starting to get pretty full. Here's some ways we advertise to check our Lost and Found:

Display During Parent/Teacher Conferences

The items in our Lost and Found eventually become overwhelming for our Main Foyer. I've instructed staff to prepare pictures of items to send out to families starting in the beginning of January for a few weeks. By the end of January, all items will be donated to local charities. We then start fresh in the second half of the school year and follow the same process through Winter then Spring and eventually the end of the school year. Please contact the Main Office if you'd like to ever bring your Road Runner to check our Lost and Found.

We'd also like to say that we had sun a fun Spirit Week! Road Runners and staff dress in Red for Red Ribbon Week and also in our favorite sports gear then as superheroes and lastly in PJs. More spirit to come prior to Winter Break!

Clubs - Session 1

Clubs start for Session 1 on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The first session is for second graders only and then will open up to all in the future.

Parents - please have ID ready when picking up your Road Runner from clubs at 4:00.

Monday Clubs

Cub Scouts – The Cub Scout leader will facilitate the club. We only need one staff member to supervise the students. Please let me know if you can help.

Be Proactive

This month, students are learning about Habit 1: Be Proactive! through the Leader in Me program. We are teaching students that they are in charge of their choices, attitudes, and actions, and encouraging them to take initiative, learn from their mistakes, and make positive choices each day.

Digital Dangers

Protecting young people from online harm starts with knowledge. Join FBI Buffalo for a critical in-person presentation. This session is designed specifically to inform guardians, educators, and school communities about today’s most pressing online safety concerns and provide resources for families and educators to use at home and in the classroom. FBI speakers will explore how seemingly harmless online interactions can turn into threats of manipulation or violence against our youth.

School Pictures - October 23

Dear families,

School pictures are now available!

To see if your child's pictures are available to view, please log in to your account at mylifetouch.com. If you don’t have an account yet, you can create one using your email address.

To locate your child's photos, you'll need their Student ID or Portrait ID and Access Code. If you don't have this information, you can:

Check your inbox for an email from Lifetouch that may contain your access credentials and a direct link to your child's images.
Wait for your proof sheet to arrive, which will include your Portrait ID and Access Code.
Contact the Lifetouch Help Center for assistance

Please note that pictures may not become available for all students at the same time, so check back later if you don't see your child's images yet.

Picture Retake/Make Up Day

In case your child missed picture day on October 21st or, once parents/guardians see the pictures and would like a redo, picture retake day will be November 23.
