Football Seniors Take Home Victory in Final Home Game
In a thrilling weekend of Monarch football, the Yotes emerged victorious in two nail-biting matches against Silver Creek. The varsity team kicked off the excitement on Friday night with a dramatic 33-31 victory during Senior Night. Despite falling behind early to Silver Creek's two opening touchdowns, the Yotes showcased their resilience with an impressive comeback. The senior class led the charge, with Archie Jahn and Gavin Fagan each finding the end zone, while Riley Montemayor delivered two crucial touchdowns, including the game-winner on the final drive. Junior Tyler Tharp also contributed to the scoring effort. The defining moment came with just 1:27 remaining, as Monarch's defense secured a critical fourth-down stop, setting up Montemayor's decisive rushing touchdown to seal the win.
The excitement continued into Saturday as the combined JV and C teams battled Silver Creek through double overtime, ultimately prevailing 26-20. Jack Duster shined with two touchdowns, while Brody Frederiksen and Hank Guanella each added scores of their own. The game reached its climactic conclusion when Barrett Gaudet intercepted Silver Creek's pass in their final overtime drive, securing the weekend sweep for the Yotes.

Kyson Webb (P2P) led the charge, finishing in an impressive 15th place, followed by Jaden Kenkel in 87th and Wes Hruska (P2P) in 126th.Our largest turnout came from the JV Boys, featuring six racers. Piers Moor finished strong in 32nd, followed by Will Pearson in 48th, Mitch O'Rourke in 60th, Logan Catterfeld in 62nd, Wes Hinckley in 105th, and Kelton Speights in 113th.
Sunday began with the Sophomore Boys' race, where our two competitors put forth a valiant effort: Aidan Waldvogel (Broomfield) finished in 98th and Cooper White (Flatirons Academy) in 134th.The day concluded with a fast-paced Varsity race, where Nathan Riemer secured 65th place.

Welcome to the Monarch Booster Club: Where Student Passions Soar!
Who Are We?
We're not just any parent group – we're the heart and soul of student support at Monarch High!
What makes us unique? We're the only parent volunteer organization at Monarch High, stepping in where there's no PTO or PTA. Our mantra is simple yet powerful: WE SUPPORT STUDENTS!
From Aviation Club to Choir to Soccer, we've got ALL students covered. With over 85% of Monarch students engaged in after-school activities, we're here to fan the flames of every student's passion. Whether your student is hitting high notes in the choir, coding the next big app, or scoring goals on the field, we're here to cheer them on and provide the support they need to excel.
In essence, we're the wind beneath the wings of Monarch's diverse and talented student body. Our goal? To ensure that every student has the resources and support they need to pursue their interests, develop their skills, and shine bright in their chosen activities.
What Do We Do?
- Bridge the Budget Gap: We're the financial superheroes for Monarch's clubs and activities! Last year, we granted over $36,000 to fill the space between budgets and actual needs. Think essential gear like tents/radios for the Mountain Bike Club, cutting-edge cameras for our budding journalists in Newspaper Club, and even pole vaults for our high-flying Track stars. When school budgets fall short, we leap into action!
- Shower Seniors with Scholarships: $10,000 in scholarships last year – that's 10 lucky seniors getting a $1,000 boost!
- Host Epic Tailgates: Buy a t-shirt, and you're in for a year of food, fun, and fantastic company!
- Run 'The Cave': Your one-stop shop for Monarch spirit wear and game-day snacks.
- Shout Student Success: We're the proud parent voice in newsletters and social media, celebrating every achievement.
- Throw the Bash of the Year: Our annual Booster Bash is the talk of the town – cocktails, dinner, dancing, and auctions galore!
