A Message from Ms. Peterson

Hello MCP3 Families,

Our scholars have been doing a great job transitioning to preschool at MCP3! They have been learning the Routines and procedures in their classrooms and practicing safety rules. I have been super impressed with how well class of 2041 is doing! Keep up the great work!

Here are some important updates and reminders.

Arrival & Start Time

Scholars may arrive to MCP3 between 7:30am-8:00am. School Starts at 8:00am! Scholars arriving after 8:00am are considered tardy. Scholars must be walked to their classroom and signed in with their child's teacher by someone 16 years of age or older. All MCP3 parents must park in a parking space- please do NOT park or stop in the driving lanes or in front of the cones.

Dismissal

Dismissal is from 3:00pm-3:30pm. Scholars must be signed out from their classroom teacher by someone who is 16 years of age or older AND be on their authorized pick up list.

Rauh Room (Indoor playspace)

We opened up the Rauh Room this week and our scholars did a fantastic job of following safety rules. Rauh Room Safety rules are:

  1. Use the Slides the correct way (top to bottom, on bottoms feet first, one at a time)
  2. Line up when it is time to line up
  3. Stay in the Rauh Room
  4. Only use equipment that is open

Some days, our scholars will be in the Rauh Room during dismissal and you will pick your scholar up from there on those days.

  • Room 121 & 122 will dismiss from Rauh Room on Mondays & Wednesdays and every other Friday
  • Rooms 123, 124 & 125 will dismiss from the Rauh Room on Tuesdays & Thursdays and every other Friday

Life's Work

Starting this week your scholar will receive a Life's Work Packet every Monday. The Life's Work matches skills scholars are learning in the classroom and should be completed throughout the week. Completed Life's Work Packets will be collected by your child's teachers. Scholars will receive a Dojo point for each completed page of life's work. Family members are encourage to support their scholar, however, please allow the scholar to complete the life's work as independently as possible. Some life's work will require the use of supplies such as crayons, glue, scissors, etc. Please speak to your child's teacher if you need any of the required supplies at home so we can assist.

Aftercare

Our aftercare program is full. Any families in need of aftercare at this time will still need to fill out registration paperwork and will go on our wait list.

Billing Questions

Please reach out to our Office Manager Ms. Perine by emailing cassandra.perine@mkeprep.com or calling our office 414-264-6007 with any questions or concerns related to your payment or enrollment.

Our MCP3 payment policy states that payment must be made in advance of services. Be sure to make your payment on time so that your scholar's seat remains in good standing with our program.

With Love and Respect,

Ms. Peterson

Calming Strategy

Every morning during circle, scholars engage in a "calming activity." This is an activity to disengage stress that offers adults and scholars an opportunity to actively calm themselves in order to have access to their prefrontal lobes and higher-order thinking. MCP3 scholars will learn many specific strategies throughout year....try practicing them with your child at home and encourage them to use them when they feel upset, frustrated, angry, or sad. The one they are learning now is called, S.T.A.R (Smile, take a breath and relax).

Attendance Counts in K3 All Here, All Year!!

Help your child, your child's classroom, and our campus win the incentives for having the best attendance! Be sure your child arrives to school every day by 8:00!!!
