π¦ THIS IS HOW WE'LL WIN THIS WEEK
π¦ This Is How We Will Win the Week!
β Put Our Learning Into Action!
Last week's PD focused on building systems, strengthening instruction, and responding to what our student data is telling us. This week, we're looking for evidence that we're putting that learning into action!
π― Kβ2: Small Groups & Stations
T-TESS 3.1: Classroom Environment, Routines and Procedures
Our focus is on implementing the small-group and station systems developed during PD.
β Weekly Look-Fors:
100% of classrooms have a visible station rotation system with clear student assignments.
Students demonstrate established routines by knowing where to go, what to do, and what to do when finished.
Teachers conduct at least one targeted small group while other students work independently or collaboratively at stations.
Your Win: Have your station system up and running! It doesn't have to be perfect, but it does need to be operational.
π― Grades 3β5: Tier 1 Instructional Learning Labs
T-TESS 2.1: Achieving Expectations | 2.5: Monitor and Adjust | 4.3: Professional Development
Our data is telling us we need to strengthen Tier 1 instruction. The Learning Labs give us an opportunity to observe our coaches modeling HQIM and effective instructional practices with our own students.
This is not about whether you know how to teach. It's about learning together, refining our practices, and building consistency in Tier 1 through gradual release.
β Weekly Look-Fors:
100% of participating teachers actively observe coach modeling during their assigned Learning Lab.
Each teacher documents at least TWO instructional moves that support student engagement, understanding, or learning.
Each teacher identifies ONE specific strategy to practice during the gradual release process.
Teachers participate in the daily debrief and share at least ONE observation supported by student evidence.
Your Win: Don't just watch the coach teach. Study the instructional moves, notice how students respond, and identify one thing you can use in your own practice. Share what you learned at you Huddle!
Our goal is not perfection. It's implementation, reflection, and improvement. We have the data. We have the support. Now let's make the most of the opportunity!
π¦ That's how we'll win the week, Eagles!
Every Student. Every Classroom. Every Day.
