The Dawg Dispatch is our weekly snapshot of life as a Bulldawg, straight facts, clear wins, and what’s next, so families and staff can pull in the same direction. It reflects our mission: “The mission of the Aberdeen School District is to inspire ALL students to become problem-solvers, lifelong learners, and productive members of society.”
Bulldawgs in Action - School Spotlight
Our math classes have it going on!
From gallery walks in 6th grade, to hands-on centers in 5th, and peer tutoring in 8th — our students are engaged, collaborating, and leveling up every day.
A big shout-out to Mrs. Goode, Mrs. Shaw, Mrs. Howard, and Ms. Russell for leading the way and keeping our students moving forward. Strong work, ladies!
Bulldawgs keep learning in action everyday at BSMS!

Moments like these help shape the kind of leaders our community can be proud of.
A Great Big Shout-Out to Our Math Team!
Our Math Team knocked it out of the park hosting Family Night at BSMS. It was an awesome evening, and everyone had a blast tackling math challenges together.
Thank you to our parents, YOU are the reason Family Night was such a success. When our community shows up, our students grow. Tonight proved exactly that.
We're already looking forward to even greater nights like this. We’re climbing, we’re focused, and we’re on our way to the top, an “A” Rating is in reach.
Let’s go, Bulldawgs!
Students Taking the Lead in Math at Aberdeen High School
Our AHS students are stepping up in a big way, teaching, explaining, and helping one another master math skills. When you practice with purpose, you improve. And when you improve, your grades follow.
It’s simple: practice it right, and you’ll see results. Proud of our students for owning their learning and pushing each other forward.
Aberdeen School District Receives Thanksgiving Food Gift Box Donation for Families in Need
The Aberdeen School District is honored to announce the generous donation of Thanksgiving Food Gift Boxes provided by Paul Kelly and Kel-Tech Inc. Security Services. These gift boxes were delivered to three families in need, ensuring they will enjoy a warm and meaningful holiday meal.
This act of kindness reflects Mr. Kelly’s ongoing commitment to supporting the Aberdeen community. The district extends heartfelt appreciation to Mr. Paul Kelly, Lt. Taggart White, Officer David Tedford, and the entire Kel-Tech Inc. team for their dedication, generosity, and service.
Their contribution demonstrates the powerful impact of community partnerships and reinforces the district’s mission to support students and families beyond the classroom.
“On this Thanksgiving, we want to share our gratitude. We're thankful for the trust you place in us, the teamwork we experience every day, and the support that helps us keep your community safe. While we watch over everyone, we're reminded how blessed we are to be a part of a place that feels like family. Happy Thanksgiving from Kel-Tech to each and every one of you,” said Lt. Taggart White.
“We are deeply grateful for this donation,” said Dr. Andrea Pastchal-Smith, Superintendent. “Acts of service like this remind us of the strength and compassion within our community.”
Dr. Pastchal-Smith added, “When organizations step forward to support our families, it not only meets an immediate need but also strengthens the spirit of unity that defines Aberdeen. We are truly thankful for partners who believe in our students and stand with us to uplift our community.”
She further noted, “Supporting our families—especially during the holiday season—is at the heart of what we strive to do every day. This donation ensures that our students feel cared for beyond the classroom, and that is a gift we value tremendously.”
The Aberdeen School District wishes everyone a safe, restful, and joyful Thanksgiving holiday.
Learning in Action at AES
Classroom instruction at AES is always a joy to see. There’s something special about watching our students dig in, explore, and grow. We’re reminded every day that learning goes both ways, we can learn from their bright minds just as they learn from us.
Moments like these show why AES is such a strong, vibrant place for our children to learn.
BSMS Book Fair Brings the Joy of Reading to Campus
This week, BSMS hosted its Book Fair, and both students and faculty enjoyed every moment. From discovering new stories to sharing old favorites, the excitement around reading was felt throughout the building.
It’s always a win when our school community comes together to celebrate learning.

Tip: Physical activity helps manage blood sugar and boosts energy.
Take a quick walk during breaks or stretch between classes.
Teachers can add “movement minutes” to the classroom routine.
Every step counts on the trail to good health!
🎓 Wednesdays Are for College Pride!
Every Wednesday, we encourage students and staff to wear college shirts! Why? Because seeing those college names and logos reminds our students that higher education is possible for them, whether it’s a school close to home or one across the country. It’s a simple way to spark conversations, plant dreams, and keep students motivated toward their future goals. Let’s show them that the road to college starts right here in Bulldawg Country!
Dawgs advance to 3rd Round!
On Friday, November 21, the Dawgs will travel to Winona for the next matchup. It’s time to gear up, show up, and make our presence known. Pull out your blue and white, bring the noise, and stand behind our players as they continue this playoff run.
Let’s show Winona what true Bulldawg pride looks like.
Congratulations to our ALL Division Players!
Hard work still matters!
We’re proud of each one of you. Keep pushing forward, keep leading by example, and keep showing the next group what it means to rise to the occasion.
The future’s wide open, and you’re just getting started.
