First Week of School

Take a moment to read all the information below. Some of the information may be repetitive. However, I hope the information is delivered promptly and consistently to all Park Street families. Never hesitate to contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns.

Important Reminders:

• Parents may walk their child to class the first three days of class (Fri., Aug. 1st, Mon., Aug 4th, and Tues., Aug. 5th).
• Beginning Wednesday, Panthers are welcome to walk to class on their own. Our dedicated staff will still be available to help ensure everyone arrives safely and gets breakfast.
• Parents wishing to speak with their child's teacher may schedule an appointment via email.
• OPEN HOUSE - Thursday, August 14th.
  
• Below you will find grade-level newsletters. Each grade level provides weekly information that provides insight into what your child will learn and how families can support at home.

• Navy blue, light (powder) blue, yellow, and white polo shirts
• The uniform shirt can be purchased from Walmart, Target, Amazon, and other affordable retail stores.
• Khaki or Navy Blue skirt/pants/shorts/or skort
• Khaki or Navy Blue dress
• Khaki or Navy Blue Jumper
• All pants must be belted/affixed at the waist and worn with a tucked in shirt
• The length of the khaki/navy blue shorts and skirts must be no more than five inches above the knees as measured from the inside bend of the knee.

Students may wear “Spirit Wear,” a Park Street or Marietta City Schools / Blue Devils top.

Deadline to register is August 24, 2025

• Who: All 3rd, 4th and 5th grade girls

• What: Girls on the Run inspires individuals of all abilities to discover, build, and grow their self-confidence. Together, they experience a sense of belonging and connection as a team. Coaches facilitate lessons that blend physical activity with life skill development, including managing emotions, fostering friendships, and expressing empathy. At the end of the season, the team completes a 5K together, which provides a tangible sense of accomplishment and instills confidence.

• Where: Park Street Elementary School Media Center. 5K will be Saturday December 6-more information to come.

• How: Please use the link below to register your student. Girls MUST be able to be picked up by car or attend ASP after practice, on Wednesdays and Thursdays. NO bus transportation will be available.

• Schools may be eligible for additional funds to support student learning.
• Marietta City Schools may qualify to receive additional funds per student from the state and federal government which they pass onto local schools.
• Middle & High Schools with high return rates may also help their feeder elementary schools qualify for free afterschool snacks, dinners, and on-site summer meals.

School Meal Application 2025-2026:

For the 2025-2026 school year, households will have to pay for their child’s school breakfast and lunch meals. You may qualify for reduced-price or free meals by completing a school meal application.

• Las escuelas pueden ser elegibles para fondos adicionales para apoyar el aprendizaje de los estudiantes.
• Las Escuelas de la Ciudad de Marietta pueden calificar para recibir fondos adicionales por estudiante del gobierno estatal y federal que pueden transferir a las escuelas.
