A Message from Our Principal
Dear Farnham Families,
What a week to be a Falcon! 🦅
Wednesday was truly a day to remember at Farnham. Our Science Fair was an incredible showcase of curiosity, creativity, and hard work, and we could not have been more proud of every single student who participated. A special shoutout to our fifth graders, who absolutely shone as they presented their projects to a panel of judges. Their confidence, preparation, and brilliance were on full display, and it was a joy to watch! 🔬✨
The excitement carried right into the evening as we welcomed so many wonderful community members to our Family STEAM Night. Seeing families explore, create, and learn together is exactly what Farnham is all about, and the energy in the building was electric. Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate our students and support our school community!
As we head into Spring Break, we hope each and every Farnham family enjoys a well-earned, restful week with loved ones. Recharge, relax, and we will see you back here refreshed and ready to finish the year strong! 🌸
And speaking of finishing strong - we are so excited for our Walkathon on Friday, April 24th! 🎉 This is one of our biggest and most beloved events of the year, and it truly takes a village to make it happen. The funds raised through our Walkathon directly benefit every student at Farnham, supporting field trips, assemblies, school supplies, Starting Arts Theatre classes, and so much more. Every donation makes a difference, big or small. If you have not yet returned your donation envelope, there is still time - please send it in when we return from break. Together, we can make this the best Walkathon yet!
Here's to another week where we Solve Problems, Make Good Decisions, and Show Respect! 💙
Go Falcons! 🦅
Be well,
Amy O'Hehir
Farnham Principal

Hello Fabulous Farnham Families,
Our 2026 Walkathon is 2 weeks away! We hope that students are gathering sponsorships. You can donate online or send cash or a check back in the sponsor envelopes by April 22. Our Farnham Dad's group will help run this year's Talent Show! Does your child want to participate? Sign them up here before April 17.
Interested in joining the Home and School Club for next school year? We are looking for nominations for next year's HSC Board, and interested people can submit their information to the front office. SUN Bucks Summer Grocery Benefits for Families
This summer, some families may receive SUN Bucks, a grocery benefit that helps families buy food for their children when school is not in session. Eligible students may receive $120 per child to help purchase groceries during the summer months. These benefits are provided through the SUN Bucks (Summer EBT) program, administered by the State of California. Many students are automatically eligible, including children in households that receive CalFresh, CalWORKs, or qualifying Medi-Cal, as well as students identified as foster, homeless, or migrant. Students who qualify for free or reduced-price school meals may also be eligible.
If your child is eligible, the SUN Bucks EBT card will be mailed directly to your home address. No action is required for families who already meet the eligibility criteria. If you believe your child may qualify but you have not submitted a Free and Reduced-Price Meal Application or Universal Benefits Application, completing one may help determine eligibility for SUN Bucks and other programs that support students and families. To apply, please visit: https://www.cambriansd.org/departments/food-services
For more information about SUN Bucks, please visit: https://www.cdss.ca.gov/sun-bucks
Families can also contact the SUN Bucks Helpline for assistance: 877-328-9677"
