Daylight Saving Time begins this weekend at 2:00 AM on Sunday, so get prepared to trade an hour of sleep for a little more evening sunshine!

And speaking of things heating up—Finding Nemo Jr. has made quite the splash! With all the excitement, tickets are officially SOLD OUT.

But don’t worry—there’s still plenty to look forward to! SouthFest is right around the corner on March 19th, and there’s still time to sign up. Don’t miss out on the fun—register today!

It is almost time for March Madness. Student Council is hosting a March Madness tournament during a PM SMART period on Friday March 20th. Games will be 3v3 and teams should consist of 3 players. There are no subs,nor managers for any team. Your team can be made up of players from different grades. Entry is $6 per team and there will be prizes for the top 3 teams. Entry forms can be found outside of room 112 and need to be submitted by March 17th.

Is playing not your thing? Well, you are in luck. Spectators can purchase passes to watch the tournament for $1. Spectating tickets will be on sale the week of March 16th. All money fundraised will go to Coach Bradham’s family to help cover medical expenses

Some of our 7th & 8th grade students stayed after school this week and applied their creativity to designing custom T-shirts! Special thanks to Mrs. Scholz for opening the STEM lab and assisting the students!

As part of our holiday help program, South is offering spring baskets. If you would like your child to receive a spring basket, please fill out this form by March 13th. The basket will include candy and some small trinkets. You may either have your child bring the basket home, or if you would like to keep it as a surprise, you may pick it up in the main office. The baskets will be ready the week before spring break. All requests for baskets will be kept confidential.

The Friends of Rachel (FOR) Club is happy to announce that Rachel's Closet is back again this year! The closet is a store of gently used clothing, coats, backpacks, shoes, workout gear, and more. Some clothing still has the tags on! We also offer personal items and toiletries. The best thing about it is that everything is free! Please encourage your child to shop with us. If you want to make a donation to the closet, you can drop off donations at South's main office lobby or purchase items from our Amazon Wish List. The RamPacks program provides a food pack of kid-friendly, non-perishable food intended for a child's breakfasts, lunches, and snacks over the weekends. RamPacks is a CONFIDENTIAL program for families who need financial assistance with food over weekends. RamPacks is a partnership between local churches, businesses, and community groups in the Pennridge area and the Pennridge School District. This is a FREE program, without cost to participating students. It is intended for families who are in need of assistance with food for their children over weekends.
