December 1-7, 2024

Good morning Cannon families,

We hope all of our Cannon families have enjoyed a joyous Thanksgiving break with loved ones! This Thanksgiving season, we want to share our genuine appreciation with you! Without you, we would not be where we are today, and we are so thankful for all of your support and continued partnership throughout the year. It was also a great pleasure to meet so many loved ones at our traditional Grand Friends Day; it was a huge success! We look forward to continuing to serve you and your families.

It's hard to believe we are welcoming December this week! With three weeks until winter break, we have a lot of upcoming events for our scholars. Please make sure to see our save the dates and information below!

Our 5th Grade STEMbassadors did a phenomenal job welcoming and assisting our Grand Friends during their visit!

Our Grand Friends enjoyed grade level activities, coding fun, the art show, book fair, and they also loved shopping for Cub spirit gear! It was a full house for our Grand Friends Day and it was such a spectacular opportunity for our community to expand generations! Thank you to everyone that attended!

Congratulations to our kindergarten and first grade STEM Habit of Mind Hall of Fame Inductees for Thoughtful Planning! STEM teaching and learning is an instructional approach to learning and development that integrates the areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Through STEM education practices, students develop key skills including: problem solving, creativity, and critical analysis. We are PROUD to honor our scholars for exhibiting STEM thinking, and we can't wait to celebrate our next group of inductees this Friday.

Congratulations are in order! The PTA Reflections Art Program Results are in... A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to our winning CUBS!

Reflections has been a staple arts program in many schools for over 50 years. Through the efforts of our Local PTAs, millions of students have found a creative outlet in the areas of dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, and visual arts.

Congratulations, Cubs!

It's time for our annual Kindergarten Candy House Design Challenge! We are asking for sweet donations to make this traditional learning experience a tasty delight. Our kindergarten teachers would like any donations to be received by Friday, December 13th. Feel free to donate as little or as much as possible! Our Cubs go through a lot of candy when building their innovative designs! We do need at least 1 can of frosting per kindergarten scholar (62). Thank you for any help you can provide!
