The "Lounge for Literacy" was a Huge Hit at the Langhorne Library Today!

Mr. Welwood and Mrs. Krantz attended the "Lounge for Literacy" program at the Langhorne Branch of the Bucks County Library System today. Many other students and parents also attended this event. During the program, Mr. Welwood read a story to the students. Several students worked on art projects while they listened to the story. A student volunteered to read a story to the group that he had read previously. Several students talked about how they were reading for fifteen minutes a day, using their library cards to check out books, and how much fun it is to hang out at the library. One student shared that he had recently attended a "Bubble Party" at the library. Other students are planning to stop by the library July 29 at 10:00 am for the "Reading Goes to the Dogs" program. Other students might stop by the library for the "Bubble Party" on July 30 at 10:30 am. Some students are planning to attend the "Summer Quest Badge Squad" event on July 30 at 10:30 am. All the students who attended the program today also received a book for free from Dr. G.

Dr. G.'s Summer Plans:

Thank you to everyone who "worked together to make this the best school year ever!" Our students had an amazing year! They learned so much! They had a lot of fun too! Thank you to our PTO for supporting our students by sponsoring a number of fun evening programs, assemblies, and field trips!

During the summer, the Hoover office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm on most days. If I take a vacation day or a sick day, sometimes we need to close the office. If you need to reach me over the summer, please email me at dglennon@neshaminy.org or call me at (215) 809-6340, Please call or email me before coming to Hoover to confirm that the office is open.

During the summer, the Neshaminy Kids Club program rents out Hoover for their Summer Camp program. The custodians also need to clean the building in order to get everything ready for our teachers and students when they return in late August.

I will continue to share updates from Hoover over the summer from time to time. I will let you know when the school supply lists and the classroom assignments are ready.

Please continue to encourage your child to read for pleasure over the summer.

Have a great summer!

Registration and Re-Registration Information:

Registration for the 2026-2027 school year is now open. Parents and guardians of new Neshaminy students should begin the process online by visiting www.neshaminy.org/register. Be sure to use the "Register a Student for Next Fall (2026—2027)" link on the registration page.

RE-REGISTRATION (ENTERING GRADES 5 and 9)

Parents and guardians of students entering grades 5 and 9 at the start of the 2026–2027 school year will be asked to review and update their residential and contact information. This routine re-registration process supports accurate student records and helps ensure smooth transitions, appropriate school placement, transportation, services, staffing, and resource planning for the upcoming school year. Visit the link below for more information.

Please Update Your Demographic Data in HAC:

STUDENT, FAMILY INFORMATION UPDATES (ENTERING GRADES 1-4, 6-8, 10-12)

Starting this spring, ALL Neshaminy parents and guardians (except those re-registering for rising grade 5 and 9 students) must update their information in Home Access each year. This is a new requirement that will help the district to maintain correct information and enhance communications. Parents and guardians can confirm or update their information by logging into their Home Access accounts. No documents are required unless there is a change of address, multiple occupancy affidavit, or affidavit of support required.

Please visit the Neshaminy website using the link below for information on how to update your information in Home Access Center.

Do You Want to Help Us to "Build Futures?"

Neshaminy School District is looking for both certified and support staff for the 2025-2026 school year. What is P.B.I.S.?

P.B.I.S. stands for Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports. At Hoover Elementary School, we believe that students can be taught how to make appropriate behavior choices in the same way that they can be taught math, reading, science, and social studies. Our three behavior expectations are:

  • Be Respectful
  • Be Responsible
  • Be Safe

We teach our students how to meet these expectations in a variety of settings (classroom, cafeteria, playground, bus, hall, bathroom, etc.). We reinforce appropriate behaviors with verbal praise and with P.B.I.S. Tickets. Students who earn tickets can exchange them for a sticker that they can wear proudly throughout the day. Students can also earn prizes on Friday during our P.B.I.S. raffle. The more tickets you earn each week, the better the chance you have of winning a prize.

Our P.B.I.S. program has been recognized by the PA Commonwealth as being effective in helping our students to make appropriate behavior choices.

If you have any questions regarding our program, or if you have any suggestions for how we could improve our program for 2026-2027, please email any of the following individuals:

  • Jaimie Salt - Teacher - PBIS Tier 1 Team Leader - jsalt@neshaminy.org
