Spring Showcase! Kindergarten Families Come Tonight!
Spring Showcase Reminders
Our EC/WELE families came for our Spring Showcase event on Tuesday evening and tonight we are excited to host our kindergarten families for our annual Spring Showcase. Please see the tips below so you have an enjoyable evening with us.
Parking and Doors
Due to the size of our kindergarten population, we expect the parking lot to be very full. You can park in our front lot as well as in the back of the school. Please note that the doors that will be accessible are Doors A4, A7, B6, C6 and C10. All of our doors are marked on the outside of the building to help you. I have also included a map HERE for you to see which doors will be open. Many toddlers and family members will be in our parking lot so please drive slowly and use caution so we all have a safe event.
Concert & Activity Schedule
We have 6 concerts planned for this event. Based on your child's homeroom and program, you should've received a specific schedule of when your child's concert is happening and when you visit the other areas in the building. You will get to rotate between your child's classroom and neighboring classrooms to participate in learning games. I have included a picture below of the schedule and what rooms you can visit. Please follow the schedule, you will not be able to go in early to find a concert seat as there will be concerts happening throughout the evening. Enjoy spending time in the classrooms listed playing games that your child loves, visiting the Book Fair and trying out our special scavenger hunt.
Coming to school and spending time with their peers and our staff is a great opportunity to support your child in following our behavior expectations. Students love showing you around the school and their classroom you get to see them interact with their friends and our Primary staff.
Visiting our School with Families ROAR Expectations
1. Walking feet in our hallways-we know you're excited, but walking helps everyone stay safe.
2. Stay together as a family in the parking lot and in our hallways.
3. Participate together as a family, for the games we have planned, we set them up so you can play together.
4. Decorations and balloons are for all of our families to enjoy, so please leave them in their location.
5. Introduce your family to your friends and Primary staff, we love seeing them!

Parent University-This Saturday!
Thank you, Primary Prep Crew!
A big shout out to our April Primary Prep Crew! Monica Vervilos, Brianna Powers, Iraida Valentin and Maricruz Delgado gave us their time and hard work this past Tuesday to cut, laminate, and put together items for the classroom and school. Our teachers are so grateful and we appreciate them giving up time to help us. Thank you!!
Growing Up Green at Woodland Primary!
Earth Day is on Monday, April 22nd and we work hard all year to teach our students that little hands can make a big difference. Throwing away trash, recycling, turning off lights, and other little strategies like that show that we are doing our best to love our planet! We have special days planned all week long. You can click the link HERE or click the photo below. Let's work together to show the love for this beautiful planet!
First Grade Placement Information
Soon, we will begin working on first grade class lists for the 2024-2025 school year. We do our best to ensure that each classroom has positive group dynamics and is well balanced. As we start this process, if you have information you would like us to consider as it pertains to your child’s learning style, please complete the form below by Monday, April 22nd.
Requests for a specific teacher are not recommended, please provide general information to help us in our placement process (teaching style, special considerations, etc.). Please note that making a request does not guarantee it can be honored.
Throughout the placement process, a great deal of careful thought will be given by our teachers regarding each individual student’s learning strengths and peer relations. We will continue to work hard to create the best learning environment for every child.
The forms below will be used for this process, please don't email your child's teacher or administration, we are collaborating on class lists and using the forms below.
