Building Confidence, One Buddy at a Time
Beebe Middle School EAST student Everett Inman recently delivered his prototype Reading Buddies to Mrs. Johnston’s 2nd grade class, turning an innovative idea into a hands on solution for young readers. Everett designed and modeled the Reading Buddies himself before bringing them to life with a 3D printer.
His goal was simple and meaningful, to help younger students build reading confidence by giving them a friendly buddy to read to. He presented multiple size and design options to Mrs. Johnston and Mrs. Roberts and even discussed how the buddies could be used beyond one classroom to benefit the entire building.
