Troy 30-C Monthly Happenings
January 2026

Dear Troy 30-C Community,
I would like to take a moment to express my gratitude for your continued support and dedication to our students' success. We know that eLearning Days can be challenging for students, families, and staff alike, and we truly appreciate your flexibility and understanding. Please know that the decision to move to eLearning is never taken lightly; it is made with great care and research, prioritizing the health and safety of our entire school community.
Please take a moment to participate in the upcoming Illinois 5Essentials Survey. This survey offers parents, students, and staff a unique chance to share valuable insights and feedback. By contributing to this survey, you will assist us in identifying areas for improvement, shaping future initiatives, and ultimately enhancing the quality of our educational services. Your participation is crucial in helping us create a more effective and supportive learning environment for everyone involved.
As we navigate the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year, we remain committed to excellence, providing enriching opportunities, fostering a supportive environment, and celebrating the achievements of our students. We are grateful for your ongoing support; together, we make Troy 30-C a place where every student thrives.

Notes from the Nurses - Managing Students Food Allergies While at School
There is a critical difference between food intolerance and a food allergy. Although some symptoms may seem similar, the risks associated with them are not the same. A true food allergy can cause a severe reaction and may be life-threatening if the food is consumed. A food intolerance can cause discomfort and unpleasant symptoms; however, it is not life-threatening.
In an effort to ensure student safety, beginning with the 2026-2027 school year, any student with a food allergy must have a completed Allergy Action Plan on file with the school nurse. The completed form, signed by both the parent/guardian and the student’s physician, must be submitted by August 1st to ensure the appropriate staff members are notified.
Food intolerances, sensitivities, and preferences will be managed by the parent/guardian and the student using the available menus at myschoolquest.com.
