Maryland SUN Bucks Benefits 2025 Maryland SUN Bucks Benefits 2025

  • Remember to use your SUN Bucks before they expire! Benefits expire 122 days from the day they are added to the card. For example, benefits loaded on June 6th will expire around October 6th.
  • If you no longer have last year’s SUN Bucks card, you need to request a replacement by calling the SUN Bucks Hotline at 1-800-332-6347. Your 2025 benefits were added to the same card account.
  • If you have Medicaid or were approved for Free and Reduced Meals (FARMS) but haven’t received a White SUN Bucks card, please take the following steps:
    1. Call the SUN Bucks Hotline at 1-800-332-6347.
    2. Select “SUN Bucks” to check your mailing address. You can update it during the call if it’s incorrect.
    3. Ask for a replacement SUN Bucks card.
  • If you opted out of the SUN Bucks program, no action is needed. Your benefits will expire after 122 days.
  • Please update your contact information with your school. This helps our team send the right benefits to the right homes.

Visit the Maryland SUN Bucks website (http://dhs.maryland.gov/sunbucks/) to learn more.

Car Rider Updates Car Rider Updates

Morning Arrival

Please note that we will be blocking the center lane in our parking lot at 8:30am. We ask that you do not move the cones when leaving. If you have to park please use the car rider line to enter the middle row on the far side of campus and again re-enter the line when leaving, without passing other cars.

Reducing the amount of foot traffic will help increase the speed of the car rider line and ensure those dropping off can do so quicker. If you feel your student needs accommodations at drop off please contact the front office to discuss a plan.

Afternoon Pick Up

We ask that you do not pick up students from the walker door and walk to a vehicle parked in our parking lot. Walkers are students who walk off of campus when dismissing.

Thank you for your cooperation in these matters. We hope these changes ensure a safe and easy arrival and drop off for everyone in our community.

Attendance Updates Attendance Updates

8 is GREAT!

In elementary school, every day matters. Students build important skills in reading, math, and problem-solving that lay the foundation for future learning. Missing even a few days can make it harder to catch up, impact friendships, and lower confidence. By aiming for 8 or fewer absences this school year, families help ensure their children stay on track, grow socially and academically, and are ready for success in the years ahead.

Grade Level Competitions

Each month grades will compete for the best attendance. In September we will recognize the grade with the highest attendance rate. The grade with the highest percentage will earn a big prize! Help your student and their classmates by aiming to be at school every single day!

Family Fun Night - September 24th Family Fun Night - September 24th

Our first of four Family Fun Nights will be September 24th at 5:30pm. This year we are hoping to take these events to a new level of fun, learning, and engagement. Each event will combine topics your students learn about in school and help families understand more about those topics. Our first event is Heart, Mind & Motion: A Creative SEL Celebration. This event will combine, writing, reading, art, and movement. Families will get an idea of how BRES teaches social emotional learning and will also give families ideas to take home with them.

Another goal in our Family Fun Nights is to bring healthy dinners to share at the conclusion of the event. For this event we will be catering from Noodle and Company. Please click the RSVP below to let us know if you plan to attend.
