Students will finish Unit 1 by analyzing author's point of view and purpose. We will also review nonfiction text features and discuss the structure of poetry. At the end of the week, we will start Unit 2, which will be a fiction unit.
Students will evaluate and improve their informational writing. Students will edit and publish their drafts by typing. Students will also start learning about opinion texts at the end of the week for Unit 2.
Students will estimate products of whole numbers and fractions. Students will review several concepts from Unit 2 (fractions as quotients and fraction multiplication) through a study guide for a test we will take on Thursday.
