Welcome back to the new school year. It has been great seeing all the excited faces of our returning and new students.
The first couple of weeks have been very busy with the setting up of classroom routines and organisation, along with meeting the new staff and reconnecting with those that have returned. The Year 4/5/6 students have enjoyed swimming lessons this week, with the very hot weather it has made for a cooler start to each day that's for sure. Next week our Yr 1/2/3 students will enjoy swimming lessons.
We have our Whole School Pool Party on Friday 16th February. Students from PP - 6 will head down to the pool from 8.30 to 10.30am. Lunch will be provided on the day with the school providing a sausage sizzle lunch. If your child has a specific dietary requirement please let their teacher know, so we can do the best to accommodate their needs on the day.
Thank you to all the families who attended our Meet The Teacher afternoon. It was a great turnout and the teachers really appreciated the support through your attendance. Miss Margaret and I would also like to thank the families for joining us for coffee and cake afterwards.
This term we have combined our Whole Assemblies with our Holy obligation activities. Our first assembly will be part of our Ash Wednesday Liturgy on Wed 14th Feb at 1.30pm in the Multi-purpose Room. Families are encouraged to attend and a text message will be sent to families for any student receiving a merit certificate on the day so time off work can be organised if required.
Looking forward to a great 2024 filled with lots of learning and growth from all of our students.
God Bless.
Miss Melanie
