Not sure what to compete in? Click below to be take to a HOSA competition flow sheet, that will help you select the competition that is best for you. Competitions will be announced by the first week of October. Regionals will begin November 18th.
There will be a meeting for our Competition Team on November 1st, right after school. This meeting is for the leadership team, and those interested in competing, who may have questions.
Ready to sign up to compete?
This year's theme is: "Powered by People!"
The first step in competing is to visit the HOSA website, which you can do by clicking the button blow labeled "Guidelines". This website will list all of the competitions that HOSA has available for you, and by clicking on the competition boxes, this will guide you into the requirements for your competition.
Our recommendation is to see if the competition is:
- A skills test
- A written test
- Observe the recommended study tools.
- There are also practice questions, as well as judges score sheets, to help you in skills practice and research.
Also, research to find if your competition will start at the regional level, or if you will go straight to the state level.
Step two after looking at the competition list, is to chose three of the competitions that interest you the most, and complete the application process.
Competitions will be in the following order:
1. Regional Competition - This will be virtual, and will be held November 18th-20th. We will let you know your exact testing date, after competitors are approved. There will be a $10.00 fee to compete, and this will be due no later than November 6th.
2. State Competition - March 31st - April 2nd, 2025 - Chattanooga, TN. To attend, you must qualify in the top 3 spots in your competition at regionals, or you may have a competition that does not require a regional exam, and you will go straight to state. Students must qualify with grades or attendance to be eligible to participate in HOSA State competition. Fees for state will be determined by the number of winners we have from regional competitions.
3. International Competition - June 18th-21st, 2025 - Nashville, TN. To attend, you must qualify in 1st place in your competition at State, also, students must qualify with grades or attendance to be eligible to participate in HOSA International competition.
