As we head into the holiday break, I want to take a moment to wish all of our Jayhawk Elementary families a truly wonderful Thanksgiving. This time of year reminds us how grateful we are for the partnership, support, and kindness you show our school each and every day.

Whether you’re traveling, gathering with loved ones, or simply enjoying a little extra rest, we hope your break is filled with warmth, joy, and meaningful moments. Our students bring so much light to our building, and we are thankful for the opportunity to work with them—and with you.

Important Wellness Notice for JES Families

We want to make our Jayhawk Elementary families aware that we have recently encountered a wellness issue involving a student who came to school with active head lice. While this is not uncommon in school settings, we are taking all appropriate steps to address the situation quickly and thoroughly.

Our staff has followed district health procedures, and we encourage all families to take a moment to check their child’s hair and scalp for any signs of lice as a precaution. If you notice anything concerning, please reach out to your healthcare provider or contact our school office for guidance on next steps.
