BCSVA Weekly News

We had a great meet up at Lake Louise in Weaverville and look forward to March with several fun field trips planned.

Read Across America is an annual event celebrated on or near March 2nd, which is the birthday of children's author Dr. Seuss. It is a nationwide reading celebration that was created by the National Education Association (NEA) in 1997 to promote literacy and encourage a love of reading among children.

Ms Ayer’s will be at the East Asheville library on Friday 3/3 which is Dr Seuss birthday. We will have Dr Seuss crafts and activities for the kids and we can play at the playground next door. Please Send in Pictures of you reading in your Socks, Hats, Sports attire, and dressed as a Character. You can send them through the Form or to Mrs. Metcalf at Jessica.Metcalf@bcsemail.org. Our Character Parade will be done Virtually.
